What was your acceptance letter like?

I'm in the nail biting 3 month waiting period to see if I got accepted into my community college ASN program. All I know is that they send out notifications anytime between January and March.

So now everytime I get something from school I have a mini panic attack. Today for example I got an envelope with my name seen in a nicer cursive in the window. Turned out to be the notification that I got on the Deans List... let down, lol.

It got me wondering? what was your acceptance letter like?did it just come in a regular envelope? Or could you immediately tell it was different? Did it come in a package with paperwork and directions or was it a lone piece of paper?

Mine was an email that I wasn't expecting for another three days. I was on vacation and with my sister k the car. I was at a red light when the ping went off to notify me of a new email and when I looked down and saw the CONGRATULATIONS FUTURE RN/BSN CLASS OF 2017 I started screaming. My sister thought I had lost my mind until she saw what had me so excited then she started screaming too! It was another two weeks before the "official" letter came in and I don't think I really believed it until I had it in my hands! Now I'm in week 2 of semester 1 and it's really setting in that it actually happened!

Mine was a single letter. Said I would have an orientation package that would follow in the mail a few weeks later. I only harassed admissions for a good 3 weeks beforehand.

Regular envelope with school logo on it. Just a single sheet letter saying "Congratulations" and the instructions of where to find the info we needed to gather before orientation.

Best of luck to you! I remember well how stressful it is, stalking the mailbox, the wait felt excruciatingly long. Hope you get your letter soon :)

Mine was an email. I got it while stuck in bumper to bumper traffic in Virginia.

Thanks. I'm glad that school starts on Tuesday giving other things to focus on while I wait.

I was told the University sent out little envelopes if you did not get in and a big one with all the info if you were accepted. The second I saw the giant envelope I knew I was in. This was a long time ago, but I remember I knew at that moment I would be a nurse. The one thing that was out of my control was whether I was accepted. Once I was accepted I knew I could control how hard I studied and how hard I worked..and I was going to make it no matter what. It is a good feeling for sure.

I got a letter that congratulated me, along with whether I accepted the spot with a return envelope; then a packet followed after I checked off the acceptance and the orientation date; it took about a week to get the packet.

One school it came through an email. And the other school it came in a big white envelope...so it was kind of obvious by the big envelope I got in.

My initial acceptance was via phone. I got a call from the associate director of admissions and she congratulated me and told me what was next in terms of what to do. I later got an email that said congratulations, return the form for whether you accept your spot etc.

Mine was sent in an email form. It was pretty short. It essentially said we checked your grades and you met our requirements. Congrats. See you in the fall for our accelerated program.

My letter looked like any other random communication from the school; it was just a single piece of paper. It basically said "Congratulations on your acceptance into the Spring 2015 clinical rotation. Please come on XX date at XX time to register for your classes and receive further information." Short and totally anticlimactic. ;) I had been stalking the mailbox every day for weeks, and was contemplating what excuse I could possibly email the nursing coordinator about to get her to tell me if I had gotten in or not. Good luck!
