What is wcccd?

Wayne County Community College in Michigan

Hey I applied for the winter 2012 semester as well and spoke to someone in the nursing office this past Friday. They said letters will be mailed out this week so that the people that don't get in can register for fall classes in case they want to re-take some classes or take more pre-reqs and co-reqs.

Thank you. Good Luck!

Good luck to you too!

Thank you for the update and Good Luck to all!!:)

I called the nursing office again today to check and see if the letters were still getting mailed out by the end of this week like they had promised and told me several times. I was told today that the committee was not able to finish everything up this week and they're now hoping to get the letters out by next week. Hopefully they don't delay things again. Too bad for the people that didnt' get accepted cuz had the letters gotten mailed out before the 23rd they could've registered to take classes over to increase their gpa or register for additional co-requisite classes to increase their points and chances of getting into nursing school. Wcccd is completely unorganized and they totally give their students the run-around and are disrespectful to us students and constantly act like they're doing us some huge favor.

Thanks for the update Lilianne, you saved me from the aniexty of waiting for the postman this week. I agree it's unfortunate that the results were not made available before the start of the fall semester. And I know what you mean about being treated as if they are doing us a huge favor. But, in all fairness, that is not unique to WCCCD. So many people in vital positions seem to forget how it feels to invest ones time, money and effort in pursuit of actualizing ones goal. Instead of being treated with empathy, such people are treated as an nuisance. It's too bad that we live in a world that lacks simple courtesy, consideration and compassion. I don't call the nursing dept. anymore, because I got tired of being treating as if I was calling them at home during Sunday dinner. Therefore, I really appreciate the updated status. :)

I'm new here, but I GOT MY HAPPY LETTER TODAY!!!

Just got home from work and it was sitting in the mailbox. I'm so happy.

I applied june 30 with a 4.0, a 77 Teas Score Overall (87 Reading & 67 Math), All of my co-reqs completed all done at wcccd and I have a medical background.

Good luck everyone! ?

Anyone else receive a happy letter today???
