What to do about DNP and flu shot?

I am finishing my MSN soon, and had thought that I would get my DNP. However, I am second guessing this after a big ordeal from my school about me not taking a flu shot. My hospital does not require it if I wear a mask. I hate to put the time and money into getting a DNP, and at some point be required to take a flu shot to work in nursing. I WILL NOT. I will change careers. I’m not looking for pro flu shot comments here. However, I am looking for advice and useful information on what you think the future holds in this matter. I also have an MBA, and can just as easily go into a DBA program.

As someone in their DNP now, no way, no how you will survive with that attitude and beliefs in this field. Sorry. Definitely consider career change or something from home away from human contact?

It sounds like you need to reevaluate the risk versus benefits of receiving a flu shot. Evidence shows that regarding vaccines including the flu shot that the benefits far outweigh the risks in all but a few rare medical conditions. If you want to ignore the evidence and go with your gut then you'll have to face the consequences. I doubt that any school health program will take on the liability of an unvaccinated student unless there is a medical contraindication to vaccination.

She will survive, and get ample opportunities to pass on those attitude and "beliefs" onto others. And that is a huge part of the problem.

The guy is so sketchy - A few years back some friends and I tried to investigate his education and background as a sort of hobby. He runs some amazing scams and disinformation campaigns. The fact that so many people believe what's on his web page just shows how paranoid society has become.
