This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.
To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or Drexel or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.
Thanks!
Hello everyone:
I just graduated May 3rd and we were required to take Kaplan our last semester. I did the live portion for 3 days last week and felt like it was somewhat beneficial.
I have heard a ton of good things about the Hurst review, but the cost is so steep...may have to find some people to sponsor me (lol).
At this point I am willing to do whatever it takes, but I don't want to overlaod myself with a ton of books and other miscellaneous materials.
Oh well we will see what happens...I am thinking now Kaplan and Hurst...any other suggestions or feedback???
Thanks and GL to everyone :)
I have already turned in all of my information to the BON and have also paid pearsonvue my 200 bucks, where do you receive your ATT? Is it via e-mail or in the physical mail? If someone could please clarify, that'd be really great. I'm starting to get a little anxious as to when I can test. Thanks so much in advance!
Suzanne's method is on a sticky.
For labs I am memorizing pretty much the same things minus clotting (those I can figure out). Sounds like you are on the right track to me! The only thing that kind of worries me about the labs--the slight variances from book to book. Oh well, should still be ok. Good luck!
I too just received my ATT...I didn't even want to open the e-mail because I knew what it was going to say!!! I haven't scheduled my date yet, but am going to do so within the next couple of days! I've got to maintain my anxiety level somehow! I've heard so many people say that one of the main reasons people fail NCLEX is because they let anxiety take over....does anyone have any good suggestions of how to reduce anxiety levels with studying and preparing for the NCLEX because no matter what I do, I feel that my anxiety is going to keep increasing....any help would be so appreciated because I don't want my anxiety to win!! Thanks and good luck to everyone! I'll keep you posted on when I figure out a date!
I graduated May 9th and received my ATT...today I scheduled the NCLEX for June 30th. I was nervous just scheduling the date. Well I took 2 weeks off from studying now it's back to the books. I am still uncertain of how to study for nclex>??? Has anyone heard anything about Saunder's online Nclex review?? It is like $60.
