Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.

To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.

Thanks!

I have the Feuer home study materials. They are the absolute best! I will know if I passed the NCLEX (ugh- it was horrible) by Friday the 11th

Good Luck Ladytiger!!! Hope today brings you wonderful results. We will be waiting for your news!

Took mine today....75 questions....not feeling real confident, but I find it hard to believe I didn't pass with that few questions. I would think that I should've gotten enough right that I at least would've had more questions to prove I'm a total dummy, lol. I am hopeful that I will get the good news 48 hours from now!!

Good luck all!!

Hi, Thanks and good luck with the results. Also any tips on how to prep for the exam?

I'm no expert and still won't have my results until tomorrow afternoon, but my hospital emphasizes Saunders...the CD and the tests at the end of each chapter. Suzanne has a plan on here that sounds like it's also been very successful. I just don't know that I can say with any honesty that Kaplan or anything else prepared me any more than my education at my college and Saunders alone did. I just don't think there are any "magic" tricks other than review, review, review, and understanding the patho.

Best wishes!!

I posted this on another thread (about Peason results), but I wanted it to reach both groups, so here it is: If it's not kosher for me to put it on both threads, than please moderators, PLEASE leave it on this one... Thanks...

SO... IT IS OFFICIAL. I did not pass for the third time. After dreading the results, because as I stated earlier, my results were not posted... days later. So... I contatcted Pearson today, they told me that NCSBN pulled my test, and my results were not available... HUH????????? Has anyone heard of this? They gave me the phone number and I called. At first I was told, no that did not happen, the results should be available... blah blah... but then she put me on hold, and about 8 minutes later, she came back online and said yes, they did pull my exam, that sometimes they randomly pull exams and grade them by hand??? to check results. Anyway, my results would be available by 11AM. So I got home, about ten min. ago, checked pearson, and found out I did not pass.

NOT HAPPY. Incredibly sad...

I am going to cross post this on the June test takers thread. I think I am the first of the month, if not, the first of the month for repeat test takers.

I cannot believe this, as I was INCREDIBLY prepared for this test... Back to square one? I don't know what to think. But I went in sooo positive, so ready... My testings went from July 2007 190 questions , Nov 2007 to 230 questions, to this time June 13th, all 265 questions...

I've done Kaplan, I've done, ERI (through school), I went from using every book I could get my hands on, which I was told was overkill (too much material) to using just the Saunders book, and doing Suzanne's plan. Am I the first person to not pass using this plan?

Suzanne: Please let me know what you would suggest my next step to be?

Thanks for any advice from all... UGH, I had a GREAT job lined up... Oh well.... Maybe I'm meant to be an ER Tech for now. I have to believe that God knows the plan he has for me, but just wants to keep it to himself for now.

Take care and good luck to all!

HEY you are not alone! I feel sooo defeated but I picked up my socks and did it again, I have no clue what my results are but I am not putting my hopes up cause I cannot go through what I went through the other 2 times I wrote it i am not even sure I want to see my results tommorrow, i cant deal with it right now this NCLEX thing is reallllllly just tooo much I have just prepared myself that I have to turn my dream job position down and study and hope another hospital will take me Your right though God does have a plan and I am trying to remain positive. My first 2 test i took shut off at 75 i must have been way below the standard this time it was 189 I just dont think numbers mean anything anymore I have no idea if they were lower level or higher they were all messed up each question seemed to be........I just dont know anymore how could have graduated with a 4.0 GPA and fail this again and again......I dont want to see my results to be hnoest I dont know if I will even bother to be hnoest........

take care of your self and keep praying ......:redbeathe
