Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.

To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.

Thanks!

I Just Got My Att :)

Hi Mary C:

How long did it take to get to you after submitting your app? I am thinking it may vary state to state??!!

Good luck to you on the NCLEX...I am awaiting the big day as well :wink2:

Take care

I'm scheduled to take the test in June and am very nervous. Glad to find fellow new grads waiting to test. This is so much worse than waiting to find out if I got into nursing school, I just hope I pass and keep from driving myself crazy worrying about the test! :uhoh3:

Your post poses a question or need for clarification: I was told by the BON here (FL) that I would need to wait for my ATT to schedule and pay with Pearson...is this true or does it vary state to state?? I know that some information can be conflicting, but I seemed to be getting different messages frequently :)

Thanks!

it comes both ways if you provided an email address, at least that is what happen to me.

you can pay the exam without the ATT but times starts running since the date you pay and if you don;t have the ATT you lose time.

So would it just make more sense to just wait for the ATT then?

ATT is obtained from Pearsonvue once you have registered and paid and they receive the OK from BON/BRN. If trained in the US then usually no delay in receiving ATT but if foreign trained nurse going through application process then usually asked to wait for eligibility before registering

hello everyone i'm taking my exam in june too and i think i'm not yet prepared. i'm not sure if i'm using the right material to study. i'm presently doing the nclex 3000 cd but i think i need more practise on sata, priority, delegation and drag and drop questions. does anyone know any good book to approach those questions? thanks in advance.

ugh, just received the ATT and scheduled the NCLEX-RN for early June. I've received 99% on the ATI predictor TWICE now but I am still about to :barf01: Even though I feel fairly confident and I'm a good test taker and am doing question upon question. Still with a job riding on it there is so much pressure! And now that it's scheduled it's very very real.

How are all of you dealing with this anxiety? Anybody have a great tip??

I take the nclex on Fri June 13th..lol. I am very afraid and nervous as all can be. I did really well in school. Mostly A's and a few B's. I have started doing the online review through NCSBN. I hope that it is good. I also have started the Saunders review book as well. We did the Hesi at school. But not the ATI. I wish we would of so I would know what my predicted chance of passing the boards would be.
