This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.
To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or Drexel or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.
Thanks!
Hey everybody! I am starting to freak out just a little. I take the NCLEX next week, June 3!!! I feel like I'm gonna throw up. I haven't been nervous about tests before, but this one really has me worked up. I took the Drexel Excel course last week that was offered by my employer and am hoping that it was well worth it. I've been doing about 100-150 questions a day from the NCLEX 3500 and Saunders. I'm hoping that will be enough. Good luck to everyone!:icon_hug:
Same thing with me, guys [and gals]! I have never had test anxiety before and now it is hitting me like a ton of bricks! I am going through the Saunders book and have Kaplan's small purple book (their questions ARE harder). Hopefully the studying will pay off! I am trying to remind myself that I CAN do this and that soon it will all be over (and PASSED, I hope). Also trying to keep a clear head and know that in the end all my anxiety might hold me back. Let's hope not.
Good luck guys, it's almost June! It's our month!!
Hi i also graduated in May, my biggest concern right now is which review course should i take. Can anyone help i am looking at Kaplan or Feuer. I dont have the financing to do both so i have to decide, as anyone taken the Feuer they claim to have a 92% passing rate, and i dont know the passing rate for Kaplan. Thank you

ladyshallow,
I haven't signed up for anything either but let me tell you, if you need to learn any of the core content, and have the questions to study, the one my friend has is hurst and the lady that teaches that is awesome. I got to watch one of her lectures and she makes everything simple enough for lay people to learn it without a problem {and she is so funny doing it} If I were going to buy one that would be it. Good luck to you!! and everyone else.
I just scheduled mine on June 21. I am so nervous. I have actually been
using Kaplan and Saunders throughout my last year of nursing school. Kaplan helped me a lot with the strategies and Saunders for content.
These books have been very helpful for me. I am reading the Kaplan book
again to refresh my strategies. I am praying for all of us test takers.
Hey everyone!
I'm taking the NCLEX next Friday, June 6th. I did really well in school, passed the HESI and had a 95% predicted chance of passing on my ATI. The school I graduated from has really high passing rates, last year only one person failed but passed their second try. However, none of this reassures me, I'm still scared to death!! But also I'm just ready to get it over with and (HOPEFULLY) be a REGISTERED NURSE!!! :) I've been studying Saunders and the Hurst NCLEX review book like crazy, I'm so fried! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!
hi guys i wonder if i can schedule an appointment to test NCLEX by my choice? maybe 3 months after having my ATT? i already have now my Eligibility but im not yet registered to pearsonvue and not yet prepared to take the NCLEX-RN exam, any advise please.. thanks.
I dont know how it is there, but here in the US I believe the ATT is only good for 90 days.

Hi,
Your ATT will tell you the latest date you will be able to take NCLEX, and I think it is three months from the time you get it. Good Luck..
Hey everyone I take my test June 9, I was a nervous wreck until my mom gave me some good advice. She told me to go in calm and relax and know that I am a nurse and I can give the best care in the NCLEX hospital. So I took her advice in practicing the questions from kaplan and it made a world of difference. Instead of looking at the questions as test questions I starting looking at them as real pts in the NCLEX perfect hospital of course and what would a reasonable and prudent nurse do in this situation. it might sound crazy but it works. I am not getting 100's but my scores improved.
I am still nervous of course. Had a good cry from all the built up stress and I feel so much better. So do somewhere and yell, cry, or something and release some of that stress. :banghead:
Oh yeah, I am studying from Kaplan for test questions, Saunders for contest, and NCLEX 3500 for test questions
NE way good luck to everyone.
Try to be stress free. LOL LOL

I'm doing the Rayfield Review course this week and I'm really enjoying all the strategies I'm learning. I haven't set my date yet but want to do the test near the end of June. I got my ATT this week and will definitely setup the date this weekend. We're all in this together. Good Luck Everyone!
