What general discussion topic on allnurses do you get the most annoyed at?

For example: My pet-peeve is the "I hate working the floor. What cushy nursing jobs are there that do not require any real work?"

How would you like to respond to these topics?

For example: I would like to respond "Quit being lazy, put your time in, and develop into a stronger nurse before venturing out."

Without being specific enough to identify anyone, please contribute with your thoughts about topics that annoy you the most.

Please do not insult, demean, or disparage anyone. After all- at allnurses we are allfriends.

I just saw this really cool old movie called Logan's Run....

On El Rey channel?

Posters who decide to put some old biddy firmly in her place. There's a new kid in town, doncha know! Entertaining at first but get boring very quickly. After that, just a waste of screen space.

Yes i have. All 19 pages. But you know what they say; if you throw a rock into a pack of wild dogs, the one that howls is the one that got hurt..

Ha, that's a good one! Never heard that saying before.

Aaannnd, the party's over. It had to happen at some point.

"I would rather have an experienced nurse with an ADN take care of me than one of these BSN new grads who think they know everything because they took some dumb leadership and research classes."

Duh.

To whom are you speaking?

Like ruby said, just a general comment.

Maybe Pearson Vue should just stop trying to scheme an extra $8 out of people, then, or whatever the early result fee is now. It's an electronic test. The results should be available within 24 hours, max. The test costs enough as it is.

With an electronic test, the results should be available immediately! I understand not wanting to give them the second the screen changes so you don't have all kinds of emotionally charged reactions (good and bad) but maybe send an email after an hour to allow someone to decompress or get home.

That being said, when I took the NCLEX in 2010, I totally did the PVT... I had not one shred of patience :)

Everything your ADN can do, my BSN can do better. My BSN can do everything better than you.

I did the PVT before it cost $200.

I have some stupid charges against me from dumb stuff that I did as a kid that I was advised to plead guilty to to make it go away so I did. (run on sentence usually part of these posts). But now I want to be a nurse more than anything in the world and it's not fair that I might not get to just because I stole some money from my friends parents to buy a little weed. Everyone does it so I think it's stupid that it's even illegal. Will this make it so I can never be a nurse?!

Oh, I also have two DUI and a few bad check charges against me right now, but I'm getting a lawyer to fight those for me.

Thanks for your help, God Bless U!!!
