Anyone working this Summer?

Published

Hi everyone, I was just wondering...what do you do for the Summer? Besides maybe camp nursing, are there any other nursing jobs available? Thanks

Working at a school based summer camp. Not as close to home as I would like, but pay is ok.

Born to run to the altar.

Wait. Are you blacksun's BOSS?

Heck to the NO! No working for me. I see enough of the little darlings during the school year, Lord knows, we both need a break from each other! I've got a summer of camping, visiting the Grand Canyon, and hanging out by the pool planned for me and my littles. Can't wait!

I will be working as my son's chauffeur this summer. Cross country practice M-F from 6:30-8:00 All. Summer. Long. prevents me from being able to work summer school, plus I have an 8 year old who needs lots of mommy time during the summer. I need a mental break from this place!

No way man! One reason I got into this gig is so I could be off with my kids. We're fortunate that my hubby's job provides.

I'll take one week of the 5 week summer school and work my two mandatory shifts per month at Urgent Care...otherwise I'm on the beach with my RRRRV.

I just signed up today to work in the ESY (extended school year) program for elementary and middle school. Four hours per day of feeding, tube feeds, caths, diapering, and lifting. Short hours, good money, lots of work. But it's a special kind of nursing. The teachers are great, the kiddos are special--each with their own story, and many of those stories help me to keep my own life in perspective. Nursing is great!

I've stayed on PRN at my previous job. I'll pick up on weekends mostly.... May fill in at summer school if needed here and there.
