Hi everyone, I was just wondering...what do you do for the Summer? Besides maybe camp nursing, are there any other nursing jobs available? Thanks

I probably won't work. If I do I may pick up some private duty shifts somewhere.

I may do Summer School at my old HS, which is 2 blocks away from my mom's house, 8:30-1:30. And I have my HH job.
If I get that invite from OldDude and Sweet Petunia, I'm doing that instead.

No working for me..at least not for actual money. My daughter has a full summer calendar already and I'll be her taxi service and event planner.
I am looking forward to sleeping a little later than 5:30 on weekdays, though!

I have nothing lined up, except for the two weeks I work at a theater camp (as Technical Director, not a nurse). And to honest, after this school year thus far, I am looking forward to me time. I picked up a teaching load, plus I advise the yearbook and my final deadline is in 3 weeks...I will cherish my summer this year guys. Cherish it.

I'm contemplating trying to pick up some PRN gig somewhere, but I'm not working too hard on finding that. My daughter will only be in daycare 2 days a week to maintain her spot, so I won't have a lot of time to pick things up.

Only thing I plan to work on this summer is my tan and my golf game!

I am on staff as PRN at a local Nursing Home and our Home Health Office. They don't require a certain number of shifts to stay PRN, so they just use me in the summer for other staff vacations and such. I don't plan on working much, maybe a shift a week if that, because summer is already filled with camping, running kids around to sports/camps, ect. I usually work just enough to pay for our little trips/day vacations.

i'll probably work some summer school - but since that calendar hasn't been worked out yet and i got a screaming deal in late june in myrtle beach on Groupon i'm going to have to take a week out of it if i agree to work it. They'll make due and i need a break anyhow.

I will be working as a charge nurse at a summer camp for children and adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities. The camp has 6 day sessions so I get 1 full day off a week and I also get 2 weeks off entirely- one in late June early July and one in late July/August.

I work every other weekend at a SNF year round. So I will have my scheduled shifts there and any extra I decide to pick up will be play money!
