  1. I get 38/hr and I get paid for prep as well. It is great money for me. I need flexibility with young children and I usually teach 2-3 clinical courses every semester. I make about 3000-3500 per month. I love it
  2. In Texas I get paid 38/hr as an adjunct professor. I am adjunct at three different colleges and absolutely love it! Ive done it 3.5 years. I love academia.
  3. Also remember if a university is NOT a state school, it is for profit, including Ivy league schools. FYI
  4. That sounds like a personal problem over an educational institution problem. The people over you are snooty and pompous and judgmental. I attend Capella, and it is NOT easy, and we put in many hours per week to write our papers, complete projects, take quizzes, and post discussions. I feel that if your BSN was from a top school, graduate degrees are just from effort.
  5. I think you should do an online DNP program, and do your capstone project over a perinatal research topic. There are tons of online DNP programs that are less than 18 months to finish.
  6. PSA home health pediatric private duty? What are the pros and cons? What do you do on a typical day? They offered me 28-30/hour. Thank you
  7. I have extra lotions, body sprays, mouthwash, soaps, ect for body odor issues. I will do it the first time, and if it keep shappening, I have the teacher notify the parents, or sometimes the counselor if it's a monetary issue.

    I agree
  9. I have cared for gestation diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and type 1 diabetes as an OB nurse, so hopefully you do have diabetic experience from being an OB nurse. :)

I will ask why it was not wrapped at home, since it's first thing in the morning. I would assess, and ask would he like an ice pack instead.
  11. They asked me how to care for diabetic patients which you have as an OB nurse. They asked me about tube feedings They asked me about CPS They asked me about organization skills They asked about working well with others

    Lawd I'm weak!
  13. I enjoy the kids, the holidays, summers off. I love getting off at 3:30 pm. I don't like going 5 days a week, but it's still doable. I have great benefits, retirement, and I make salary and get paid for 12 months a year.
  14. I will usually have them rinse said injury with cool water, or use a cool compress (wet napkin). They can do both themselves.
  15. From a parents mouth. So what! You are not the first nurse I met, and you won't be the last. Guess what, your kid threw up, and can't come back for 24 hours!
