What do you wear to work as a school nurse?

I looked through the last 10 pages of posts and key word searched the forum but did not see much on the subject of what most school nurses wear. Do you wear scrubs, lab coat, business casual, or something else? I was just hired into a middle/high school position and they said I could wear scrubs, but didn't give much direction. What do you find is most appropriate?

I wear school spirit tees and scrub pants. I was helping a student to the BR 2 x daily last year and just feel scrubs were more appropriate. I sometimes wear jeans on Friday. I do think it makes us recognizable and it is a no brainer.

I'm in the process of becoming a school nurse. The nurse at my kids elementary wears casual clothes. I really

hope wherever I end up I get the choice to wear scrubs. Cause in my opinion, wearing scrubs is a total perk of being a nurse!

During my preceptorship, I wore my student nurse scrubs.... with student nurse ID badge.

then I got a job and wore the hospital scrubs...

I wear scrubs Mon-Thurs and Jeans and a school T-shirt on Fridays :)

Ugh, I'm trying to hurry the week up and wearing my pink today, definitely thought it was Wednesday...

I wear scrubs, sometimes I wear a school/district T-shirt and scrubs pants. Jeans on Friday's. PJ's on pajama day. ;)

I REALLY want to make a "Keep Calm and Get Back to Class" shirt, but I am afraid that would come across harsh.

I picked up my pink scrub top this morning and then remembered it was Tuesday and let it go.

I wear scrub bottoms and Navy colored t-shirt with RN on left chest and NURSE along the back that I made at customink.com (3 for $100!!!) rip off but they should last for a while. Other nurses in this district wear casual along with sandals.
