I looked through the last 10 pages of posts and key word searched the forum but did not see much on the subject of what most school nurses wear. Do you wear scrubs, lab coat, business casual, or something else? I was just hired into a middle/high school position and they said I could wear scrubs, but didn't give much direction. What do you find is most appropriate?
Scrubs here too. I was told I could do business casual and tried it for the first coupld of weeks or so but ultimately chose scrubs in the end. Its just easier and the kids can spot me too. I usually wear scrub pants with a medical related t-shirt or a school related t-shirt. Except today. Today I chose the matching top for my scrub pants....decided to change it up a bit I suppose
Seriously though, I was told I can wear scrubs or casual clothes with a lab coat or nursing jacket over it. Something that separates you from the rest of the staff as the nurse. I chose scrubs, obviously. I came from the hospital so I already owned a ton of scrubs and it was fun to buy some cute kid-friendly tops since I work elementary.

I think some people forget on purpose JUST to sit at the outcast table...

Except on Wednesdays when the decision is made for you!

Hahahahahahahaha!! Awesome. This sounds like it's perfectly within dress code. Carry on.
I wear scrubs. But I hate scrub pants and love yoga pants. So I always wear yoga pants. Jeans on Fridays. I used to go the business casual route and I liked it but I felt like I had to style my hair everyday then and that is a big job.
