What do you wear to work as a school nurse?

I looked through the last 10 pages of posts and key word searched the forum but did not see much on the subject of what most school nurses wear. Do you wear scrubs, lab coat, business casual, or something else? I was just hired into a middle/high school position and they said I could wear scrubs, but didn't give much direction. What do you find is most appropriate?

I currently have a preceptorship experience in a school clinic, and my preceptor and I wear business casual. At a clinical placement I previously had during undergrad, the school nurse also wore business casual.

Been doing this for 17+ years and when i started we wore business casual w jeans on payday Friday. About 5 years ago there was a bus accident that required one of our nurses to respond. She had to hurl herself across bus seats and had a rather short skirt on that was not the best choice for the activity she was doing. As a result a uniform policy was put in place and because our district made it a policy they have to purchase our uniforms now for all nursing staff.

Scrubs most days because it is the easiest. Lots of school spirit T's and every Wednesday I wear my pink "My Son-My Hero-Air Force" T! Side note : a couple of our teachers have started wearing scrubs this year...yes I'm a little irritated and childish in my mind about it :no:
