What date do you start Nursing school?

When do you start school ( date)? Are you planning to buy anything that could help you in nursing school, if so, what? I just want to buy a voice recorder.

Fall semster starts August 25th. I am not looking forward to it---I need more vacation time.

I start the ABSN program on Oct. 25th, that is their fall start...they have 3 terms/year and we only get about 2 weeks in between. I'm planning on buying a nice big rolling backpack, lots of colored and black clicky pens, hiliters, extra cartriges of black ink for printer, small notepad, cargo scrubs, waterproof watch, nice stethescope, maybe a sphygmomanometer, and lots of 5 hour energy drinks! I'm way too excited about my first day! :p

I start September 16. This summer I've bought lots of things! Birkenstocks nursing shoes, required scrubs, Littman stethoscope, watch, Ipod touch, laptop...I've set aside a room in my house for study. I still need to hit Staples for all that stuff. I am super excited, too!

I start Jan 10,2011. Yes...I still have a few months to relax and get ready. But I am taking pharmacology in Fall to get it out of the way. Also, get my CPR certifications in October. As far as the school supplies go, I made a list and got a lot of good recommendations on here, so hopefully, I will have all those ready before I start next year. ^^

august 23th!

i will start my second semester out of 5. the first semester was an intro to nursing course, then this fall will be level i which has the clinical part. i am thinking about getting a recorder and other than that i'll sharpen my ears b'c i need to pay attention!!!

Is it possible to find nursing books on amazon? I always buy them "new" not that I have the money but because I am scared of ordering the wrong edition/ wrong book and also I am afraid that they won't have CDs

i get so excited when i go shopping for school supplies ( like a lil child) i want to keep everything organized-----at the beginning of school i am always organized and once tests/ lectures get harder i end up writing stuff everywhere-- sometimes i don't remember where things go lol. i just get distracted when things are not organized.

Yay! I'm so excited for everyone!

I start on August 23rd! I'm excited but completely unprepared as far as supplies and whatnot! I started looking up books and prices last night and making lists of supplies I'll need. My head is spinning!! I'm excited and nervous and totally overwhelmed with everything...in a good way! (mostly...haha)

At this very moment I'm googling around for a good backpack. My Mom, who is a Nurse, really wants me to get a rolling backpack. I really don't. I can see the benefits but it just seems like asking for trouble from my clumsy self!

I have orientation on August 31st and I start classes September 1st. I'm pretty excited but a longer vacation is always nice, I bought a flashdrive so I could work on papers at home and at school and I would always have it with me. I also bought a small portable planner so I could write my assignments and test dates in it while I was at school and I have a big desk calendar so I could have a planner from home and I will highlight the most important date. I obviously bought the normal supplies such as notebooks to take notes in, folders to hold my papers, pens, pencils, white out, etc.
