The choice to not take the COVID vaccine I feel is not defendable. The facts are that 99% of hospitalizations/deaths due to COVID are unvaccinated patients currently. This has caused a more severe strain on a already extremely stressed hospital staff, shortage of equipment and services, injury and death from other causes due to delay of care and suffering of everyone involved in the hospitalized COVID patient among other issues. Virologists report delta and other strains are accelerated and created due to the numbers of unvaccinated people in the US. The fact that vaccination rates have only increased about 20% since July with the information available is appalling, while there are 130k new infections daily in the US. This should not be a personal or individual choice and appears due to unfounded anxiety, medical or religious exception and or politics.

You asked for proof.
I gave you data. From experts. Whose study was cited by the CDC.
I asked for your proof, you gave me "expert analysis recommends vaccination after infection."
You want to leave it at that? OK.

No.
I'll leave it with the expert recommendation that those who have been previously infected with covid to get vaccinated. That's the recommendations. There's no equivocation. Vaccination is safe for those who have been previously infected and it is recommended that those survivors vaccinate to boost their immunity.

Everything you shared was spot on. Ironically, it's the same studies I've shared multiple times. These people will read it, and act like they didn't see it or it doesn't count because the vaccine will still be recommended. So since it's recommended, nobody should be able to think for themselves and take the vaccine anyway even when "the science" questions vaccinating the previously infected and shows how rare it is to be reinfected. ?

The same way ypu continue to ignore the recommendation for all to vaccinate, even if previously infected. Vaccination boosts the immune response and is perfectly safe for those previously infected.
Choosing not to vaccinate is certainly an individual choice but it remains more of a gamble than vaccinating and encouraging that gamble will lead to more vaccine hesitancy. I know quite a few mid 30s males who have no intention of vaccinating and one of the rationales that many of them share is that they are pretty sure that they've already had covid so they don't need to vaccinate. They presume this because they have also refused to voluntarily mask or social distance. They figure that the odds are in favor of them having had it already. They also live and work in the interior of Alaska where only a couple hundred thousand people are spread out over an area larger than many states so their risk is mediated by geography. None of those guys actually know if they've had covid and they have no intention of getting tested for antibodies to validate that belief. They are gambling because they understand that if they've had the infection they don't need to vaccinate.

This is what I am sharing, why someone would have hesitancy toward the covid shot. A common point of view that millions share. Some people cannot see the other side of it, which I believe causes the negative conversations. I don't belittle someone who chooses to get the shot, or who declines it. When a patient asks me what I think, I respond with open ended questions and facts from the CDC. I don't push for people to refuse the shot. "This is a personal choice, here are the facts, this is what your doctor thinks." Something like that. That way they do not feel pushed, rushed or forced. If it is their idea, they are more likely to go for it, I think. Eventually scientists will get the shot right. But for now, many wish to not receive the shot (2 series..and probably, eventually, 2 more boosters) in less than 2 years of them making it. ? Give them time..and Herd immunity will happen.
With over 1500 people dying a day it AIN'T happening NEARLY fast enough!
90% of Fox Noise is vaccinated yet continues to spew bile and lies about the vaccine!
And what's worse is that their listeners will not change their mind, (note I said mind)( Queen Beehive Trump) is the only mind controlling these minions. ?????
And that's debatable if he has one, after all a Fox's mind is not situated in its tail and wearing it on the head doesn't confer anything but lots of poop (maybe, that's why he's orange, he's allergic to Fox's poop???? and if not, I am sure that the orange paint has side effects??????? like bone spurs or mushroom anomalies ??????

Using the same logic, if hybrid immunity is better and if vaccines are so effective then vaccinated shouldn’t be afraid of catching COVID because it will only help their immunity to be stronger. But that is not what I’m seeing. Why are most people on the left who are vaccinated are so afraid of COVID still? They keep screaming and demanding that others be vaccinated.

That was the best article with evidence based research you just shared. You should really be proud of yourself.

Because they have friends and family who aren't vaccinated? Because the elderly and children remain at risk? Because they are sick and tired of reading about yet another family of orphans created when both parents have succumbed to COVID?

Because I know enough people who have died. Because I don't want to take my chance of being one of the rare vaccinated people who end up hospitalized. Because I can turn around and give it to someone who is unvaccinated, and it might kill THEM. Seriously, what a ridiculous question.
Am I the only person who thinks if we hadn’t politicized the crud out of this damn vaccine and virus that MAYBE more people would of been wanting and willing to get vaccinated?
That maybe the biggest way to make them still resist the vaccine is by making them think that now they are being strong armed into taking it anyway?
I am vaccinated. Know pretty much equal on both sides of the political fence and it’s about half and half who have taken it. Then there are some that won’t take it because they still think “It’s a Trump vaccine” (um, the guy wasn’t in the lab playing wizard or anything-just helped provide federal funding)…and there are are some that won’t take it now because they don’t want to “help Biden reach his COVID19 numbers goal” (basically they don’t want Biden to get credit for the pandemic ending)…..it’s all lunacy….and seriously politically charged.
I cannot help but wonder if the hatred both sides seem to spew at each other is eating them alive. I remember a time when people could openly speak about politics and have different views and still be friends. I also never remember a politician giving or pushing healthcare advise, which unfortunately both most recent leaders are guilty of doing so and neither of them have a single medical credential behind their name. I don’t know what rabbit hole we jumped down at the beginning of 2020 but this is one jacked up trip to hell’s wonderland.

Isn't it amazing how both Tyson Foods and United Airlines vaccination rates jump from the mid 40's to the mid 70% range in less than a month, because Biden mandated employers?
So apparently when you hurt their pockets, they comply? The hypocrisy never ceases to amaze me! All their protestations and rights violation, goes out the window when their beer and cigarettes get threatened. Because make no mistake, it's overwhelmingly republicans who are not vaccinated!
