Pledge of Allegiance?

Does your school still say the Pledge of Allegiance? I've seen posts around facebook lately along the lines of "bring the pledge back into school" or "Do you remember when?" with pictures of kids facing the flag. And it got me to wondering how many schools still did this, if it was a regional thing, private/public thing, ect.

We are a public school and still have the pledge broadcast every morning at the start of the day. Every kid (and staff) stand, face the flag and recite together. Obviously from my name, you can gather I'm in the midwest.

What do you do?

We recite the US pledge followed by the Texas pledge every morning - Honor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible.

Both districts that I've worked for say the pledge daily

We say the Pledge *when* the class of the week remembers to send kids down to lead the Pledge. NJ public school.

Ditto here.

Same as what OldDude said. That's what was done when I was in school, and my brother is in high school and they still say the Pledge of Allegiance followed by the Texas Pledge every day.

We say the Pledge.

We do, followed by a moment of silence. A fifth graders is picked each day to lead the pledge and make the morning announcements.

We have moment of silence, then recite the Pledge every morning, led by our principal or assistant principal by overhead announcement. My office even has a flag in it. I stand and say the Pledge every day, even though most days I am in here by myself at that time.

I did not know Texas has it's own "Pledge". My state does not, nor have I ever lived in a state that does (Maine, California, Maryland, and Ohio when I was school-aged).

We say the pledge every AM. (NY public schoo.)

We do have children who elect to sit it out...Though only a few.

No Pledge here but I am in Middle School so I do not know how common that is anyway. Once a week the Star Spangled Banner is played over the loudspeaker and everyone rises to face the flag.

My office has a small flag, too. I stand even though I'm by myself too. Works to role-model behavior for the students, right?
