We have moment of silence, then recite the Pledge every morning, led by our principal or assistant principal by overhead announcement. My office even has a flag in it. I stand and say the Pledge every day, even though most days I am in here by myself at that time.
I did not know Texas has it's own "Pledge". My state does not, nor have I ever lived in a state that does (Maine, California, Maryland, and Ohio when I was school-aged).

My office has a small flag, too. I stand even though I'm by myself too. Works to role-model behavior for the students, right?

Does your school still say the Pledge of Allegiance? I've seen posts around facebook lately along the lines of "bring the pledge back into school" or "Do you remember when?" with pictures of kids facing the flag. And it got me to wondering how many schools still did this, if it was a regional thing, private/public thing, ect.
We are a public school and still have the pledge broadcast every morning at the start of the day. Every kid (and staff) stand, face the flag and recite together. Obviously from my name, you can gather I'm in the midwest.
What do you do?
