Nurses and Coffee

Published

I know this is random, but I was just sitting here thinking about coffee...then I started to wonder if any nurses out there like coffee and starbucks as much as I do :) I know a lot of nurses have to work crazy hours, and I was just wondering if you need coffee to function at those odd hours.

If you do like coffee/starbucks, what's your favorite drink from there?

Not a starbucks fan but LOVE my dunkin donuts coffee. Missed it dearly coming from the east coast to AZ where we had none. Thankfully, I just relocated to a state that does.
What are you talking about, we have dunkin donuts in AZ! There's one across the street from my house! love it!! :)

I have had a love affair with coffee since I was 12 years old..... Black and sweet!!!

I know to young... I grew up on a farm, when I got home from school I would have a hot cup of chocolate. and then do chores..(my mom and dad worked jobs) well one day we were out of hot chocolate so I warmed up the coffee from breakfast... boiled it good.... and it was so strong so I put sugar in and it was good.

Love coffee. not fussy... just good black coffee.

I can't stand coffee in any form, don't like the smell or taste. Now if you want to talk about Diet Coke, Diet Mountain Dew, or iced green tea, then I'm your guy!

I too, appreciate caffeine in all forms. Favorite tonic (enter the Boston accent) is Diet Coke. Grew up on Dunkin Donuts coffee---used to drink a medium regular (I think the other posters from my area can appreciate that) when I first started my coffee drinking--now I've switched to cream, two Sweet N Low....LOVE iced coffee, favorite Dunks flavor is hazelnut, although this new mocha is growing on me--and yes, as a true New Englander would, I do drink Iced Coffee in the winter.

Also like Starbucks when I feel like indulging--Peppermint Mocha around the holidays...Vanilla Latte or Caramel Macchiato year round. Also enjoy the Passion Tea Lemonade in the summer.

My new obsession is the Keurig coffee maker that my uncle gave to my mom recently...obsessed with buying all different flavored K-cups!

I am one of the only people I know who DOESNT really drink coffee. I like it alright, and I will..but just plain old black and strong for me...usually if I'm camping or something. I will drink a chai if pulling a night shift or it's a cold winter morning. Nothing like getting cracked out on dark chocolate covered espresso beans for a housecleaning energy jolt...

and I've just gotta say it.

I like my coffee like I like my men....ground up and in the freezer.

COFFEE!!!! One of my favorite subjects!

Yes, of course I need coffee, I work nights! =) I drink lots of basic brewed coffee at night, with cream and sugar. I try to stop at Starbucks occasionally on the way to work, and my favorite is just your basic Cafe Mocha. I like to get extra mocha, because sometimes they don't put enough mocha in!

Anyone invested in a Keurig coffee maker yet? I have been eyeballing on of those..I luvvv the taste of fancy coffees

I am addicted to Starbucks' Venti Cafe Americano, Black with an 2 shots extra of expresso.. (I dont drink coffee for the taste)

The irony is I used to despise coffee-- until I started Nursing school.

Stopped drinking coffee in the early '90s after having the flu for a week..could not stand the smell of it! I now consume no caffeine; makes me crazy. I can tolerate the smell of plain coffee at work, but when it is hazelnut coffee, I want to vomit! Each to his/her own!
