Nurses and Coffee

Published

I know this is random, but I was just sitting here thinking about coffee...then I started to wonder if any nurses out there like coffee and starbucks as much as I do :) I know a lot of nurses have to work crazy hours, and I was just wondering if you need coffee to function at those odd hours.

If you do like coffee/starbucks, what's your favorite drink from there?

Starbucks is just a little to bitter for my taste. I love DD or gas station coffee.

I like a grande french vanilla latte. I also really like a grande white chocolate mocha, but try not to get those too often. I need to start using my home espresso machine (which I bought from starbucks!) more, because starbucks is beginning to cost me an arm and a leg!

I love both of those :)

All the starbucks are kind of far from my house, so I get really happy whenever I'm near one. I'm always near a Caribou or a cute little coffee shop. And sometimes I make my own with the powdered mix. Some of them are actually pretty good. I couldn't make it through high school without a cappucino or latte, so I know I'll need it when I start college in the fall.

Oooh, I love Caribou. Probably my all-time favorite. Good luck in college!

I am a coffee freak as my name implies. I'll take a decaf cafe mocha from anywhere, doesn't make a difference to me where it came from. I can't tolerate much caffeine so I do the decaf (plus I'm a nursing mom). But I'm convinced it's the heat that wakes you up more than the caffeine. I just wish coffee came in sizes bigger than 20 oz! :lol2:

Coffee where to begin. I was turned on to Starbucks at the ripe old age of 17..lol..and now I am 22! Anyhoo, I always get the iced or hot caramel macchiatos, with low fat milk. But I have to becareful where I am at or I will be stuck somewhere and not be able to go PEE, those drinks run right through me. But they are SOOOO good I love 'em. I used to get a quad shot caramel frapp but they started giving me heart palpitations so I quit getting those :(

My regular for the longest time was a venti iced quad-shot extra-caramel macchiato. Then I quit Starbucks a couple of months ago, lost the employee discount, and started to understand why people complain about the prices. Now I usually go with a venti iced coffee (more caffeine than the macchiato, anyway), but I wish I lived somewhere that had DDs.

Cafe Mocha from Tim Hortons... especially on a cold, dark drive home...

When I am behaving, I like a skinny cappucino. However, I do embrace caffeine in all its forms - Diet Coke, chocolate, tea, etc.

The best? Chocolate covered coffee beans.

Not so into Starbucks other than their chai tea latte. I actually drink more coffee from Wawa and 7-11, cheaper and tastes pretty good. Also, not sure why, but I love McDonald's coffee. I haven't met anyone else who feels the same way about their coffee, but I think it tastes great!

I think that is so funny. The name of the gas station WAWA, I also heard they have good grab and go food as well, but unfortunately those are only in the northeastern part og the US. We dont get them in the southeast.

I only started drinking coffee about a month before I moved across the country. Three weeks of driving alone, and I swear, by the end of it, my entire circulating blood volume had been replaced by McDonald's coffee. :D

I wish I liked coffee. I think it smells heavenly....but, the taste.....yuck!

Now, give me a good cup of Asam tea! That will keep me studying.
