Insensitive managers...

Featured Replies

I am sorry you are struggling. Please make sure you get exercise, sleep and a good diet. Thinking of you and hope that you can get through this rough patch.

(Do you have EAP available? Sometimes that can really help with the rough patches.)

Hugs. Why as nurses are we so insensetive towards one another?

Take care of youself and feel better.

So there were no complaints about your actual patient care and you were written up for not smiling enough? That is infuriating.

((((((((hugs))))))))

Someday, hopefully, you can laugh at your manager.

I can't help but laugh at him/her now.

What a putz.

Wow, so sorry to hear this. There is something else going on, behind the scenes. It may be time to move on, if you can.

Are you seeing someone about your depression? If not, I agree that you should hook up with your EAP. This may be more serious than you think, your depression is spilling over into your work arena.

Best wishes, Sara, and consider yourself hugged from all of us here.

Today I was written up for my lack of commitment to "customer service." Apparently I am stand-off-ish and do not smile enough.

I have also been fighting depression (worse lately than ever) for years - and my DON, who wrote me up, is aware of this.

I need a hug :uhoh3:

Here are MANY HUGS!!! Hmmmm...and the write-up is supposed to make you smile more????? Seems kind of petty to me. Seems like the DON has too much time on her/his hands.

What a sassafrASS. She must love to go bASS fishing. She also wished she had stained-glASS windows. Ask her how she shines her brASS. Maybe we should give her a pASS ... or not.

Yeah, that's the nature of work sometimes, serving the interests of others.

Have a hug.

Everyone seems particularly funny tonight/this morning. Maybe it's something in the air. :lol2:

So glad I am not practicing anymore. I am sure when I struggled with a patient who was declining I would walk down the hall with no smile on my face sometimes. I am also sure if I had a big smile on my face when I walked into room of patient doing poorly the family would report me for that.
