Hey everyone!!

If you could go back and choose a specialty or dream job (if you're not in it already), what would it be? For example, if you knew what you know now about nursing, would you still have chosen to be a nurse or another career? I would want to go back and become a pharmacist...

I would pursue my childhood dream of being a suspense novelist. I would also be a food critic, traveler and professional college student.

However, I am not the starving writer/novelist type, so I'm a nurse as a means to an end. What exactly is that end? I really do not know at this time.

Guess I'm the oddball...I'd still be a nurse. The only thing I'd change is I would have finished my degree much earlier. I'd rather have 23 yrs under my belt than only having 6 yrs. (5 as an LPN and 1 as an RN)

Not the only "odd ball"...:wacky:

I went into this business with my eyes WIDE open.

I don't regret my decision; even with all the setbacks.

My decision had allowed me to have two specialties at the same time, be my own boss, and have the means to travel leisurely.

Best decision I ever made

That is not a general question.
