Do you ever get concerned about certain users on here?

I love this forum and tend to lurk more than post, but there's a couple of users here that sound a little unstable and I worry about them. I guess it's refreshing that not everyone posts how well nursing is for them, but just certain people I wonder about... anyone else feel this way?

Not so much worried as aggravated. One very omnipresent poster in particular seems to go out of his/her way to get all "tough love" on people. So much so that I think there's more joy taken by them in being an anonymous hard-a$$ than in truly giving advice...

That being said, there are occasional posters that seem to be overwhelmed by life and/or lacking in coping skills- representative of the population in general, perhaps?

The only people I genuinely worry about on here are those obviously bigoted, hateful uber-right wing types that have no business being in healthcare. Like that psychiatric guy who hated gays, transgenders and women and said he'd beat his son if he was gay. Thankfully he got banned for his nasty views. The ones with the extreme views are the ones who truly scare me. Otherwise it's just regular ol' crazy folk. Luckily I don't care two hoots what people think of me!

I am fairly transparent, I have had friends and others figure out who I am. :) Never saw the point of a persona, who has time? But I have witnessed some extensive "multiple personalities" on another forum (not allnurses), the whole house of cards fell in when IP addresses were examined closely. There are some nut bars out there!

I have been a member since 2005, then became a guide, then a mod. I have met several AN members in person and adore them very much. :) So these folks are more than internet strangers as far as I am concerned.
