There is only one poster whom I had genuine concerns about. They left, returned under another name and now are gone again (or doing a better job of masking who they are). That individual genuinely seemed to need mental/medical attention.

This is exactly the poster I thought of when I saw the title of this thread (if we're thinking about the same person and I'm pretty sure we are).

I get concerned about students who make posts like "Give Johnny 6 mg of X medication. Each tablet is 3 mg. How many tablets do I give? HOW ON EARTH WILL I EVER FIGURE THIS OUT?" If you can't divide 6 by 3 in your head, then yeah, I'm concerned about your ability to be a safe nurse.

Surely some off the wall peeps here I have no inclination to worry about cyber strangers.

However.. I can appear rather strange ;)

We did lose regular posters when the law suit happened. Can't say I blame them.

Lawsuit?

A testing company didn't like what some posters said, and then claimed AN was actually having people make those claims falsely in order to get people to use a testing site AN preferred. All bogus, and motion to drop it as well as motion to dismiss were granted by the courts.

Wow, I had no idea. Thanks! Not sure why that would cause posters to leave though.

Specific posters were named in the lawsuit. The information is all easily accessible through Google since court documents are a matter of public record.

:dummy: I'm crazy, but I am ok with it, and I don't care if folks on a forum are concerned. Most you you guys are just as nuts!

I don't worry about any of the posters here... I don't know any of them beyond what they choose to share on the internet and their stability really isn't of much concern to me.

Statistically speaking, there certainly must be posters on these fora who'd warrant DSM diagnoses if examined by a qualified professional. There must be bigots and bullies and narcissists and egotists and on and on and on... it would be silly to think otherwise.

I love this forum and tend to lurk more than post, but there's a couple of users here that sound a little unstable and I worry about them. I guess it's refreshing that not everyone posts how well nursing is for them, but just certain people I wonder about... anyone else feel this way?

I used to hang around and participate in The Break Room quite a bit, you wanna see a bunch of nuts? Whooo boy! Many of them (not mentioning names :whistling:) post here on the the main forum as well and manage to come across as quite normal!

But seriously, the few people I really worry about have been those who are extremely depressed or anxious and make comments to the point you worry about suicidal ideation which should definitely be handled by the admins here, but those are infrequent.
