What was your most favorite part of nursing school? Like which classes did you like better?

I don't think I have a favorite part of school. I enjoyed learning about the body and how it works, I enjoyed clinincal, Yes I had bad days but it was a nice experience. My clinical instructors were great, answered any of the questions you may have had, they pushed you to think, breathe and act like a nurse. I am currently in RN school and I find all the pre reqs dull, I understand the bigger picture you need XYZ to go further. But I think I enjoy learning about "Nursing" more than anything.

So far, funniest part was recording catheterization for my partner...who was a nun. Immature, I know, but watching her hold a plastic member just really forced me to bite my tongue lest I giggle uncontrolably.
Omg I can only imagine how uncomfortable she felt xD

My favorite part so far has been my clinical group. They are now my 2nd family. No one can fully know what you're going through unless they are too!

The best it ever gets is when everyone in our clinical group isn't emotionally crashing on the same day... We try to be polite and take turns with it.

My most favorite part is the incredible group of girls I've met and formed my study group with. They've been a huge blessing in a tough program! My most favorite class thus far is my critical care rotation. It's where I've wanted to work since starting nursing school and I'm having a ball!

I had one of those days in clinical yesterday... got to remove a post-op patient's NG tube, and she was SO grateful. Then I suggested getting cleaned up, and she scrubbed her face/ears/neck with a washcloth, brushed her hair, put on moisturizing cream, brushed her teeth without having to maneuver around the NG tube, and applied lip balm. You would have thought I'd told her she won the lottery. I just love when I can make a positive impact in a patient's life, even though I'm still "only a student" nurse!

I'm biased because I've been a pediatric nurse for years and never considered doing anything else but I think peds clinical can easily be the most fun part of nursing school. You generally only have one patient... spend the day with them, take them to the play room, watch SpongeBob with them, blow bubbles with them to help with deep breathing, etc.
