If you were to pick another profession or if nursing didn't work out, what other professions can you see yourself doing? Or is nursing the only thing you can envision.. I know many people who say "they could never imagine doing anything else.
I can definitely imagine doing something else. I have worked in an office at a totally different type of job than nursing. I have worked at home. I have been a stay at home mom for many years before nursing. I have worked childcare and even as a janitor when having hard times.
I love nursing but if I had a choice, and it paid anything at all, I would go back to being a stay at home mom. It's where my heart is. But those kiddos have needs so off to work I go. At least I love my job (most of the time).
Professional student yeah!
Archivist in a library that has lots of vaults and rickety "stacks" ladders leading to mysterious attics filled with journals nobody has looked at in 300 years..
Host of one of those local TV programs where your job is to travel all over the world and report on the awesome beaches and restaurants you visit for the folks back home.
Move to Nice, France and paint watercolors all day. Live in flat with a skylight.
Nursing was not my first option. I was in college to become a veterinarian. This was my sister's dream and she talked me into it. In my second and third year as an LPN I loved working in hospice. Now going on my sixth year and my first as an RN working in the Emergency Room, yes I can see myself doing other things.

Archeologist. I just love history and all things related to it. I'd love to go on digs and find things that no human has laid eyes on in thousands and thousands of years.Putting pieces together and figuring out things about cultures/people who have long since past. I can and have spent hours and hours watching programs on things like this. Love reading about history as well..both factual and historical fiction.
Book critic would be my other dream.

I have absolutely no idea how to run a business, but I've always wondered what it would be like to own my own bakery using recipes passed down from my mother and my grandmother.
