If you were to pick another profession or if nursing didn't work out, what other professions can you see yourself doing? Or is nursing the only thing you can envision.. I know many people who say "they could never imagine doing anything else.
Veterinarian. I was in school studying animal science and taking pre-vet courses and my parenrs told me they'd cut me off if I didnt switch. I liked the flexibility of nursing so I switched to that (with a lot of work, it wasn't easy to just switch into nursing at my school). They cut me off anyways and now say I'm throwing my life away by applying to CRNA school. It's a good thing I'm passionate, independent and live 2000 miles away :)
What should I be doing if not nursing? Let me reflect on that. The assignment I liked best throughout all of my nursing school courses was writing an essay for a pre-requisite English course pertaining to 'An event in the past'. I received the best grade possible and praising comments after knocking out 7 pages within a few hours that felt like the blink of an eye and loving every moment of the clicking-clacking of the keyboard keys. Other things that have sparked my interest: Minister, nun (though not Catholic), psychologist, detective, teacher, artist/contestant on Face Off. Too many things for one life-time.

I would've majored in math and economics, become an actuary.
