Hear about the study about the ill-effects reported in the news, even if it's diet?

Yeah, I heard about that!!! Surprised me, but they said it might not be a causal relationship, but the 2 might be linked because of other food habits!!

*sigh*
Getting rid of all the good stuff doesn't make you live longer.
It just seems that way...

I have one cup of coffee each day in the morning, and a diet coke in the afternoon. I have been doing this for years, and even with migraines the doctors can't get me to give them up. For me, it is a small pleasure. Besides, we will all die from something someday.

Wow... and to think I have like 6 Pepsi's a day.... It's either be addicted to the caffeine or take tylenol like its candy... The caffeine wins!!!!!! Atleast I'll die happy

I try not to drink a can--but a 2 liter bottle of diet coke---that way I avoid complications;)

The vice I hated giving up the most was my mini skirt. But I do feel really ridiculous wearing it at age 50! :lol2:

Ahh, you can have my coffee cup when you pry it outta my cold dead hands! Hmm. I'd buy a coffee cup on the spot if it said that...
I also have about a sprite per day. I swore off diet coke after hearing all manner of nasty things about aspartame. Of course, now I'm putting splenda in my coffee.

Can of soda a day? lol, I drink a super Big Gulp of Mountain Dew a day! Sometimes more.
It's the caffeine, I work nights. I have taken 600mg of caffeine in energy pills once too, just made me a little jittery. I have a very high tolerance. I drank about a 20 oz bottle a day when I was ten (of Mountain Dew).

Here's how I figure it. I've been drinking diet soda since I was a teenager in the 1970's. There were cyclamates, then saccharine now aspartame. I figure I'm about 37% artifical sweetener. Maybe the cyclamates will protect me against the aspartame. Anyway, I'm not stopping. ( I am completely caffeine free, however.)
