Okay, I'll start! I'm in a Psych NP program, so realistically this goal wasn't going to happen this year, but I was definitely going to do it after the NP program ends next year: I'm going to take an in-person Italian language course. Either at a community college or Houston's Italian cultural center.
I've been doing the Italian Duolingo course for about 4 months and have grown more and more infatuated with this charming language. It feels like a logic puzzle to me! So I told myself, "In a year, when I'm done with the Duolingo course, I'll reward myself and take an in-person classroom course to build on what I've self-studied!"
How about you folks? What's some stuff you want to do that you can't do now?

Feel safe going to the mall with my newborn and wandering around window shopping while my older child plays in the communal play area. The malls here are technically open, but the play areas are obviously closed and taking a newborn anywhere other than strictly necessary places seems like a bad idea. But, I can dream...

AHWTL & LibraSun, your aspirations are much more lofty and commendable than mine. I’m going to sound hopelessly shallow ? But here goes..
I miss..
Poker nights!
The first Friday of every month I used to play poker with a bunch of my old LEO coworkers. Poker cards, poker chips, the other kind of chips and dip. And some really good single malt. One giant petri dish at the end of the night ?
Haven’t played since February and I really miss it/them.

Trivia night at the bar. Any trivia topic at any bar, and I don't even care if I'm drinking or not LOL.

Not hopelessly shallow! That sounds great. Funny story---my neighbor across the street has, just since COVID hit, started having large, outdoor poker games daily. Literally, EVERY DAY. Occasionally one of the guys will wear a mask, but usually as a chin strap. Never once saw another person other than him come and go in the 3 years we've lived here, then all of a sudden, a global pandemic hits and he decides now is the time to start daily poker games. Still can't figure that one out! At least it's outdoors??? ?

Open mic night at the local pub. It's a great draw for all manner of local talent. The festivals...I miss the festivals and fairs.

Can't do come this now, not scheduled. But am fervently HOPING that come this autumn, I can attend my first ever concert in NJ's Meadowlands Stadium.
Am 69 yo and IN LOVE with a 25 yo operatic master phenomenon from England.

On my bucket list. Hope all clears up by then.

Go to church first and then head for Oregon and California to hug my sons and grandsons. Beyond that, nothing else matters.

Can't think of anything. I'm lucky, I am making the most of this year.
In January the hospital I worked for suddenly closed due to bankruptcy. I made great use of unemployment for 2 months, finishing my homemade camper.
Then in March, Covid hit. I made bank on a couple of Covid contracts. Then I came home.
Now I've had time to recreate my life. I've made my shop more usable, and have come up with a marketable art furniture design. I sold artwork to help myself through nursing school, so have experience with this.
Now, I've been hired at a well paid Per Diem job in a really cool locale. There's a fantastic lake nearby. My homemade camper will work out great.
I thank God for 2020.
