Also, how much do you get paid for various differentials?
Inland Northern California * I have 10 years experience
78$ an hour benefitted position
4$ an hour when I’m charge
I’m in a clinic but if you are in the hospital these are additional:
swing dif 7$/hr
nights dif 12$/hr
i will say if i had other career options I would walk away in a heartbeat.
East Coast Hampton Roads, Virginia. started as new grad at $18.72 11 yrs ago. Now base $37.24, night shift diff $8 ( grandfathered in), CCRN cert $1, charge $1.50, $ preceptor pay $3, call and OT time and 1/2. Grossed $120K in 2017 but was working crazy OT that year. Yet and still not enough!
Central North Carolina. About $39/hour. Evening shift differential is not much (maybe $2/hour), nights and weekends is something like $4/hour. On call pay for the OR and procedure areas is 10% of your base pay per hour. Other places near us pay higher differentials for worse benefits and worse working conditions (esp. provider-staff relations).
Home Heath - 11 yrs experience - closest big city is Saint Louis, MO but the job is in Illinois.
$29.71/ hour (I do not get mileage as they provide the car and the gas.)
Required to work every 3rd weekend with one of the 2 days on call and also on call 2-3 other days a month.
On Call you get $2 an hour unless called out then you get time and a half for as long as it takes to do the call. Weekend differential is $5.
