I see all over the forums people talking about 50-60 an hour in California, but I think this is usually more like San Fran and LA. Why is San Diego so much lower, are rental prices a good amount lower there than majority of other major cities in California?

I believe it’s because everyone wants to live there. So they really don’t struggle too much with finding help.

Idk how anyone affords it without working their lives away and living with multiple families under the same roof.

I live in northern California and we get by on one income. We live in Sacramento area though. My mortgage is 1800 a month for a 4 bedroom in a nice suburb and wages are competitive with bay area. I'm expecting to make 170k this year.
We bought a house 5 years ago before housing costs went up. I'm very lucky.

Montgomery, Alabama new grad ASN $20.7 (Having BSN wouldn't make any difference). I think Alabama in general pay nurses the worst. COL is of course low compared to other cities.

I'm a new grad in the Boston area and no hospital would hire me due to lack of experience ? How long did it take you to land a job here?

San Diego around $55/hour starting. Will increase with greater work experience.

WOW. This is crazy and a shame... nurses deserve so much more.
