QuoteThe abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood. I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.

The PPP was started under the first Trump administration and been under investigation since the Biden administration. We are hearing about the Minnesota scandal because it's connected to Ilhan Omar and Tim Walz.

I attribute these scandals to not having enough oversight, also known as regulations, which Trump states he is always trying to eliminate.

Nick Shirley is only considered a journalist because he calls himself that. MAGA loves him because he confirms their biases.

It seems like Fox and NewsMax are making that connection as hard as they can this morning. That makes the narrative very suspect, IMV.
These threads are pretty surprising. Not many middle of the road nurses willing to talk about the sorry state of politics in their country, it seems. The snark and disingenuous banter from the Trump voters is probably pretty exhausting and discouraging. From what I've seen lurking here the past couple days lots of moderate voices seem to have just dropped out.

Fake AI? LOL...I haven't heard that one yet. You seem to be the only one making that claim. What makes you think so?
Whatever one's opinion might be on how the twenty something amateur and the ordinary citizen sound, I find the content they provided to be convincing. It's not proof yet, but certainly is strong evidence that something isn't right.
Even if there was a legitimate business being run, I'm trying to understand why they are being given one or two million dollars and up in the first place?

No, you have that wrong. Oversight and regulations are not the same. Oversight is making sure regulations are being followed.
I imagine there are regulations that address taking government money to operate a business and not actually operating that business.
You are correct in that there not enough oversight in this case. That's obvious.

I've never heard of him until this weekend.
nursej22 said:And yet, you felt like he had enough credibility that his video was worth posting. Interesting.
Correct. I also stated it isn't proof of anything
What he showed on video certainly looked like something is very wrong.
You earlier seemed to acknowledge the same when you put the blame on a lack of oversight.
Now you're saying the video isn't credible.
Which is it?

I don't know that such shares are really interesting at this point in this exercise. They are fully reflective of the lack of discernment in the support of Trump. The quality or credibility is of no concern among Trumps most devoted apologists as they've shown us again and again. What is important is that their citations reflect their thinking and bias from media outlets long recognized for their biased reporting and inaccurate representations. As pointed out previously, the source of the current outrage among Trump supporters originates with a wholly unreliable and unprofessional source. Very much like the doctored and misrepresented videos about abortion clinics or ballot boxes. There's a baseline of dishonesty that is the foundation of most pro-Trump rhetoric or writing. IMV.

So, in your view, what is the purpose of this "misrepresented video"?
To take down Walz? Thats the only theory I've heard so far. He's not significant enough for most to care.
And, why are you so quick to dismiss what the video showed us?

And to add insult to injury the state allows registered voters in Minnesota to "vouch" for 8 others with no ID to vote. Can't see how that could possibly go wrong.
