QuoteThe abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood. I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.
Beerman said:Are you going to make this same request to the Trump / Republican hating crowd? How about for yourself?
Well I kind of don't need to. Anti Trump stuff gets put out but is labelled "fake news" or TDS.
Beerman said:The particular comment you replied to, me introducing the Nick Shirley video, was an odd spot to make this request.
Not really, it was an obvious attempt to score a political point. Whether it is right or wrong doesn't matter if you are only going to give one side. It's called balance.
Beerman said:But I'll do my dardenest to try! Hopefully someday I'll gain the wisdom to bring to these threads the kind of intelligent discussion that you provide all of us.
Yeah, I doubt it. But keep trying.🤣😉 😂🤣
Beerman said:Until then, thank you so much for your patience and for being a great example of how to engage in political conversation in a intellectual, open-minded, and considerate manner.
Please don't attempt satire or sarcasm.
OK, how about this;
"A cemetery highlighted the war sacrifices of Black Americans. Trump's 'anti woke' policies removed them."
Beerman said:Fake AI? LOL...I haven't heard that one yet. You seem to be the only one making that claim. What makes you think so?
Whatever one's opinion might be on how the twenty something amateur and the ordinary citizen sound, I find the content they provided to be convincing. It's not proof yet, but certainly is strong evidence that something isn't right.
Even if there was a legitimate business being run, I'm trying to understand why they are being given one or two million dollars and up in the first place?
The video is faked. Do you really believe the part where people are driving around in convertibles and throwing money into the air? There is no PROOF. They could have visited a daycare center during off hours. There's not a single piece of anything evidentiary. This is a 20 something guy trying to have an online presence so he appeals to the most gullible crowd. Notice, I am not saying that money may not be handled badly, but if you are making the assertion, you have to prove it. This guy is a dolt if he thinks discerning people are going to fall for his tripe.
Trump vetoes 2 nonpartisan bills for vague reasons.
The bill to complete a water project in Colorado was approved unanimously in both houses. Some sources are saying he vetoed it to spite Lauren Boebert, others say its because it is in retaliation for not freeing Tina Peters.
He vetoed the Florida bill because a Native American tribe pushed back on Alligator Alcatraz.
When will the GOP turn on the Mad King, en force?

Once again your confused on evidence vs proof.
I've said it's not proof of anything. But it is compelling evidence.
But, who knows? Maybe you're right this time. Part of me is even rooting for you.
We shall see.

You seem to have forgotten what you requested. The equal to what you requested of me would be to ask Subee, NurseJ22, or even yourself to not always present things that put Trump in a bad light, but also things that make him look good.
As far as the video goes, I only mentioned Walz. Not Trump, Republicans, or Democrats.
As @nursej22 pointed out, the scandal is result of a lack of oversight. Walz would be the one at the top of those responsible for the oversight.
Beerman said:You claimed that there is no evidence Quality Learing Center and the like are fraudulent, so I made the leap that you therefore believed they were legitimate. Maybe you can clarify for us?
The rest of your comment is deflection and nothing but Trump hating rhetoric.
I see. You make disingenuous "leaps" and then dismiss the rest as deflection and Trump hating rhetoric. No, your tone doesn't predispose me to clarifying.
No matter the platform, Trump support is pretty one dimensional in discourse.
I think it's silly to expect people look for reasons to "make Trump look good" or praise him. What the heck is that? He's blowing up Venuzuelan civilians in boats and ports, and terrorizing immigrants of all stripes, while punishing his own citizens for some unclear petty agenda but we're supposed to try to balance that out somehow?
Beerman said:...The equal to what you requested of me would be to ask Subee, NurseJ22, or even yourself to not always present things that put Trump in a bad light, but also things that make him look good.
Well find me something that I can use to put him in a good light.
I wrote on the "47" thread on 20th December; "If he manages that then good on him. Credit where credit is due."
So do you still want to go with the spiel that no-one can find anything good to say? It's just that the bad and the mad stuff vastly outnumbers any good.

It wasn't me who started this dumb little game. And, I won't be continuing. I just wanted to take a moment to illustrate how ridiculous the request was.

The bad vastly outnumbers the good AND vastly outweighs the good in terms of gravity, importance and threat to the republic of well being of the residents of the country, especially when applied to Trump. The media is to blame for this sense that we have this need to find some shadow of balance.
With the release of the 8 hour senate deposition of Jack Smith yesterday, there's a bunch of information in the public realm now that will be very difficult to try to balance out into a net positive for DJT.
