The abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.

The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood.  I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.

The video is faked.  Do you really believe the part where people are driving around in convertibles and throwing money into the air?  There is no PROOF.  They could have visited a daycare center during off hours. There's not a single piece of anything evidentiary.  This is a 20 something guy trying to have an online presence so he appeals to the most gullible crowd.  Notice, I am not saying that money may not be handled badly, but if you are making the assertion, you have to prove it.  This guy is a dolt if he thinks discerning people are going to fall for his tripe.

Images of the center in a run down building with not one, but two misspelled signs, the screenshot of the database that shows it has received millions, and the record of numerous violations is enough for a reasonable person to conclude that something is amiss.

Then you add in the DCYF commissioner stating the center has closed down at almost the same moment the owner is outside saying "there's no fraud here".

The video isn't even needed, but is icing on the cake.  Neighbors saying they've never seen children there, employees not able to say how one could enroll their child, etc.

I'm not sure why you and others are so offended at the likely possibility of fraud or at the very least the gross lack of oversight of the program that?

We know there was fraud because it was already investigated and prosecuted.  The ring leader was convicted and went to prison.

This right wing darling of a story is a nice distraction from Trump's fraud, Trump's active role in the Epstein sex trafficking business, Jack Smith's explosive testimony, growing evidence of misuse of the military, or the increasingly crazy and combative communications and behavior from the POTUS. It's better than talking about Trump's drooping mouth, naps during televised meetings, his swollen ankles, or his hands that look exactly like he's having routine injections, infusions, or blood draws.

Speaking about Trump's health, he changed his story about that scan again today. What should we make of this? How is this not a coverup?

What about this? US removal of panels honoring Black soldiers at WWII cemetery in the Netherlands draws backlash - ABC News https://share.Google/EWLIqnxFJS33DyASZ

MARGRATEN, Netherlands -- Ever since a U.S. military cemetery in the southern Netherlands removed two displays recognizing Black troops who helped to liberate Europe from the Nazis, visitors have filled the guestbook with objections.

Sometime in the Spring, the American Battle Monuments Commission, the U.S. government agency responsible for maintaining memorial sites outside of the United States, removed the panels from the visitors center at the American Cemetery in Margraten, the final resting place for roughly 8,300 U.S. soldiers, set in rolling hills near the border with Belgium and Germany.

Quote

After months of mystery around the disappearance of the panels, two media organizations — the Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA) and online media Dutch News — this month published emails obtained through a U.S. Freedom of Information Act request showing that Trump's DEI policies directly prompted the commission to take down the panels.

The White House did not respond to queries from AP about the removed panels.

The American Battle Monuments Commission did not respond to queries from AP about the revelations. Earlier, the ABMC told the AP that the panel that discussed segregation "did not fall within (the) commemorative mission.''

It also said that the panel about Pruitt was "rotated" out. The replacement panel features Leslie Loveland, a white soldier killed in Germany in 1945, who is buried at Margraten.

What should we think about this? I think it's racism in action.  What do you think?

Once again your confused on evidence vs proof.

I've said it's not proof of anything.  But it is compelling evidence.

But, who knows?   Maybe you're right this time.  Part of me is even rooting for you.

We shall see.

What, exactly, is the "compelling evidence" of this video?  Why would it be compelling for anyone?  This is a 23 year old idiot out to get internet fame and look at what the consequences could be. I don't think he will be able to pull funds nationwide for childcare centers.  That's about as long of a view as denying larger loans amounts for graduate nursing students which has already been reversed.

He's been lying about his health since his bone spurs. He is deteriorating before our eyes, while his toadies destroy and steal all they can.

You seem to want to ignore the evidence and make this about the 23 year old idiot and how you perceive his intellect and motivation.  You also ignored the story I linked to from the "legitimate" journalist from a local TV station.

I thought it was obvious what was compelling.   Such as most legit businesses spell correctly on their signs the name of their business as well as the street name where their business is located.  A childcare business I would imagine, even the very few with evening hours, usually have staff on site during business hours that can tell a potential client about the services they provide and how to enroll.  I would also expect that a child care business be located in a building that looks suitable for the services it provides.  Especially if it has received millions of federal dollars.  I would also expect that neighbors to the childcare business would be able to say they've seen children go in and out of the building on a daily basis.

Now, that I have taken the time to provide obvious answers to your question, I'm hoping that other than saying Nick Shirley is an idiot looking for fame, that you'll answer my question as to why you don't believe there is any reason to find this evidence to be compelling?

Sort of like he doesn't know the difference between an IQ test or a cognitive exam. Or the difference between MIT where his uncle taught, or Harvard, where Ted Kaczynski attended.

How Social Security has gotten worse under Trump

Apparently Social Security has a record number of backlogs leading to delayed service.

I am so glad I started drawing my ss early and didn't take my financial advisors to wait until now. What a mess.

Probably so.  And probably like most people doesn't have a reason to care about the differences.

I do feel like he knows his wife isn't the president.   So, we're a little better off than the last guy, at least.

It's weird that the POTUS didn't apparently give consent for the imaging because after the imaging he couldn't verbalize what type of test on which body part for what purpose. That confusion was persistent with weeks between confused descriptions of the care. We all know that the type of sca, the area to be scanned and the purpose of the scan is described to the patient when indigent consent was obtained.  Unless the cognitively patient was impaired  and unable to retain that information for some reason.  It's scary that there seem to be a number of physicians who will write notes to try to give Trump's confusion and lack of transparency a sense of normalcy.

Snide remarks about Biden only reflect the reality that tried and true Trump supporters literally can not see the obvious mental and cognitive decline of the guy who just started a war with Venezuela.  The do not see the corruption.  They do not see the grifting.  The do not see the corruption.
