It's a "novel" disease so we'll have herd immunity when a community of freedom-loving people elect to be the first to not live in fear and paranoia over this Corona anymore, decide to return to normalcy, and tell Corona-obsessed people to take a hike.

It's more of a "super-flu", only unlike the flu it gets FAR more media attention despite both being essentially respiratory diseases with less than a 2% death rate if you get it.

Reference back to my shoe statement.

I can't explain the mentality...but have come to the conclusion that it is wasted time to try and get reasoned thought from those who are determined to believe that Covid is a farce. They are completely unreachable and will only be swayed when they are either in the middle of a bad surge or are personally impacted because of their own fabricated thought processes. Am determined not to play the game with the "it's all a hoax/exaggeration" crowd anymore.... They're not worth the energy folks... just an embarrassment to the field. ?

I asked and was told how to block. I encourage anyone who is struggling with politicizing posts to consider doing the same. It helps.

It's these same "freedom-loving people" that are 1. spreading the disease, 2. taking up hospital beds, 3. costing the rest of the sane population billions of dollars, and 4. prolonging phased reopening. That isn't "freedom-loving" it is self-righteousness.

I assume you group the BLM protesters into that as well.

I would group anyone that has brazen disregard for recommended infection control into that category whether they be BLM protestors, BLM counter-protestors, mask protestors, college kids packing bars, people flocking to beaches, people pushing/participating in skipping over phased reopening, etc.

Sure, whatever. Does it matter to Boston’s response?

It’s truly, truly simple. Easy, really. Wear a mask. Apparently that causes one to question ones freedom. A fight from tyranny!

We are better than this. Why, WHY at this point people are *still* arguing about masks, about it being “like the flu,” or “a super flu,” or equating it to other morbidities ... I am sad for us as a country.

The lack of social responsibility and critical thinking is beyond the pale.

True freedom isn’t doing whatever you want without any consequence. Such a perverted definition of freedom, such people hold.

Just a standard hypocrisy check, Boston passed.

I don't get the mask thing either. It is really not a big deal to wear one, and I think one should if going into public. Whether one believes masks do any good or not one should wear it to respect the rights of those who do not wish to be exposed.

My neighbors have a strange notion of freedom. They think they can make noise any time of the night because "It's a free country". Their freedom ends where mine begins.
