If I hear that phrase here one more time, I might have to slap you in the forehead. Stop. Please.

I'm kinda fond of the term. I think it describes many of them well. I also like COB.

It is the PVT threads that I just can't take anymore - "I JUST walked out of the testing center and I HAVE to know RIGHT NOW did I pass"?? Does the PVT trick work already? How about in 5 minutes? Maybe an hour? I HAVE TO KNOW RIGGGGHHHHTTTTT NNNNNOOOOOOWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!

Those make me want to take a bat or hammer to a special snowflakes head.. :banghead:

Yeah, I wouldn't bother with those threads. There are enough people on here advising NCLEX takers not to do the PVT, but apparently they have to know immediately and are willing to burn 200 bucks on it.

Omg. Are you telling me it costs $200 to do this trick? Idk what the trick is but from what I've read, its totally inaccurate anyway.

Whatever happened to using your support system? Like, talking to your significant other or going to a movie with friends or visiting the folks........

That's what I did, immersed myself with those who support me and waited.

Lol, I am not a fan of labeling generations but maybe it's true, the electronics/info age has made our youth incapable of going on without constant stimulation and instant gratification.

The trick is after taking the NCLEX, you supposedly can attempt to purchase another test and if it doesn't allow you to make the payment, it means that you passed. Otherwise, according to the PVT, you failed and it may charge you for another test. It isn't always accurate and I sure as hell am not going to gamble on that when I take the exam. Definitely planning on just waiting.

Considering I'm a part of that same generation, I don't really think those labels are fair, but I understand that being a product of the "information age" certainly contributes to the instant gratification thing.

Dogen, you're old.

And bald, apparently.

Apparently there has been a resurgence of the "I could have had a V8!" commercials. I remember the one from the '80s. I guess I am old. My apologies, Dogen.

I'm old enough to not be a special snowflake, but not old enough to be a COB. I think by JBudd's taxonomy I'm a special bat. I'm still easily confused, occasionally disoriented, but I also sometimes bite people.

I'm not bald, I'm sporting the Captain Picard. It's a thing.

We now interrupt this thread for a message from Dogen's sponsor: Captain Jean Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise.
