Frontliner, 11 year veteran RN, in the Emergency Department. For the last year and a half, I have been exposed to so much Covid I feel I'm so blessed. I have had it splash in my face, eyes and mouth. I have taken antibody test and just can't seem to test pos for any antibodies ... which rules me out for an asymptomatic "Super Spreader!" If my employer mandates the Covid Vaccine I will be looking for RN jobs that do not require the vaccine. I'm employed in North Carolina but willing to travel for Jobs that do not require the Vaccine. It's my body and my choice. This thread is for links and discussion of RN jobs that do not require the Covid vaccine. Stay safe all! You could die tomorrow from a drunk driver. So don't fear death, I do not, and you should not either. Fear what happens after death.

What are her actual religions beliefs that exempt her from the vaccine? Because I'm pretty sure EVERY SINGLE major religious organization has gone on record stating that the benefits of the vaccine outweigh everything, and they endorse the vaccine, even the Christian Scientists, who have counseled: "respect for public health authorities and conscientious obedience to the laws of the land, including those requiring vaccination."

So I'm honestly curious what your mother's religion is.

She doesn’t identify with a specific religion. She is a follower of Jesus Christ and His word, as am I. As the world calls us, “Christians.” It doesn’t matter to us what these scientists said in favor of these injections if it contradicts what the Holy Spirit is placing on our conscious and hearts.

Gotcha... what scripture encourages disobedience with public health guidance? Maybe that's the secret, Holy Spirit part...

A follower of jesus? Is this the same jesus who healed the sick? Mathew 8:16, 12:15, 14:14 and numerous others.

So out of curiosity, why is it OK to use what was available in bronze age times but not to use what is available in modern times?

Mods, please be aware I am not trying to hijack this but Watchlady85 made a statement that needed clarification.

I'd also like to know where that position is referenced in the New Testament.  The Old Testament sentiment is that respect for the healthy body given you is a commandment.  I am curious where Jesus says that attitude should be changed.

I'm not a mod, Grumpy-- but I think this thread went sideways the minute a new member thought it would be entertaining to provoke an anti-vaxxer vs science throwdown in the guise of an innocent-looking job query.

My own supposition, obviously... my opinion is you're all good.

So basically, you're choosing to pick and choose scripture like a buffet to suit your needs and preferences.

Agree

The problem is when people have a degree based in science and (supposedly) protecting public health.

If you are going to pick religion over science, healthcare should not be your job

I'm about as conservative as you can get, and I have to say that I agree with everything that's been posted in response to your posts.

If you are in NC, I'm sure you're aware that most, if not all by now, of the major health systems have either mandated, or are in the process of mandating the COVID vaccination.  And, no doubt most of the smaller systems will as well.

I can't find the article now, but read that only 20 Duke employees ultimately did not get either vaccinated or were granted an exemption.  And, I suspect when it plays out at UNC, the numbers will be comparable.

As I posted earlier, it seems that many that are opposed to the vaccination can talk-the-talk, but not many are willing to walk-the-walk.

Best wishes.

Nope.  ER for me!  Never heard "ED" at work.  Eastern US.

I’m in the Midwest.  Not technically “Eastern” US but more East than not.  We use both ER and ED
