Frontliner, 11 year veteran RN, in the Emergency Department. For the last year and a half, I have been exposed to so much Covid I feel I'm so blessed. I have had it splash in my face, eyes and mouth. I have taken antibody test and just can't seem to test pos for any antibodies ... which rules me out for an asymptomatic "Super Spreader!" If my employer mandates the Covid Vaccine I will be looking for RN jobs that do not require the vaccine. I'm employed in North Carolina but willing to travel for Jobs that do not require the Vaccine. It's my body and my choice. This thread is for links and discussion of RN jobs that do not require the Covid vaccine. Stay safe all! You could die tomorrow from a drunk driver. So don't fear death, I do not, and you should not either. Fear what happens after death.

They're expected to issue a ruling by mid-January, the OSHA mandate is up in the air but the CMS mandate which is the one that applies to hospital workers is expected to be upheld.

As they're going to hear oral arguments the first week of January, I'd be surprised if they've ruled on it by mid-January.  As for how they will rule, I think that's still to be determined.

Normally rulings from a session of cases all come out bunched together at the end, although they've indicated that this will be expedited.

And why would they expedite it?  Could it be because it's a public health emergency?  Odd that they would choose to extend  a public health, political and economic crisis with this single decision.  Especially since no one is actually mandated to take a vaccine against their will.  It's just a matter of "You can't work here."

I am not sure if your rationale for not taking the covid vaccine is because you are ready to die or if you afraid the vaccine causes harm in some way?  The covid vaccine should not cause you adverse reactions; since you have already had the actual covid virus splashed in your eyes, face, and mouth.

The only jobs for unvaccinated RN's will be employers that don't accept medicare/medicaid or any financial assistance from government funded agencies etc...  You are really subscribing to an "alternative medicine belief system" which are rarely government funded. It would easier for you to take the covid vaccine to find RN jobs, because people using "strict" alternative medicine practices (as opposed to subscribing to best medical practices guidelines/ or safe clinical guidelines and government funding) have no reason to hire a licensed medical practitioner.

The OP seems to no longer exist.  It's kind of a thing around here.

Its possible their strategy of bathing in Covid has not worked out well.

But, there are absolutely jobs out there for unvaccinated RNs.  Whether or not it stays that way is yet to be seen.

1) I thought Americans talked of the Emergency Room, it is us Europeans who call it the Emergency Department.

We say emergency department a lot. We say ED at my California hospital. Maybe because it is so huge?

Check out positions here in the Midwest. My mom works as a travel nurse and her last 3 contracts in Missouri didn’t require her to get the shot. She just signed a paper they used for religious exemption purposes, no weekly testing, no questions asked. Healthcare was already short staffed and it’s even worse now, so places really need the help. Anyways, good luck on the job hunt! Location of employment is def key when it comes to policy and leniency. I’ll be headed back to work as a nurse soon myself. Yippee!! LOL ?

So your mom just lied and the health businesses are so desperate that they don't care about vaccination status during a pandemic. What other public health  guidance do these people ignore because of their personal feelings?  It is not at all reassuring to hear these things that you cheer on.

No, my mom didn’t lie. Not sure where you got that impression. She actually does have religious beliefs that do justify a religious exemption. Just so happened to be that it was a paper stating as such and she only had sign it. She didn’t have to give a personal explanation or answer a whole bunch of questions to justify and/or defend her beliefs. Not all places are like that, I know and policy varies. But, that was all that was meant by my statement about that. Nothing more, nothing less. ☺️

Either your mother had an actual religious exemption or she lied when she signed the paper that the unethical employer provided. OR maybe you misspoke although that seems unlikely given the context of you entire remark.

What? How is the employer being unethical? What is unethical is those places that aren’t even allowing for exemptions. Medical and/or religious. Pretty sure that’s not even legal, but I digress. Healthcare isn’t a one size fits all. Never has been, never will be. Treatment that may be effective and/or beneficial for one person may actually be risky for another. My stance on the jabs tho is they need to be pulled from public distribution immediately. Anyways, you are free to think what you want. Bottom line is that if healthcare facilities don’t have sufficient staffing, especially nurses, who else is gonna take care of the patients? I bet that if you happened to come across somebody having a heart attack at the grocery store (just using this for an example) and you tell them you’re a nurse and will help until the medics arrive, they aren’t gonna be concerned in the least bit about your vax status. They’re just gonna be glad you’re there to help more than anything.

Your bets about me are as useless as your opinions about responsible conduct during a pandemic.
