Random Thoughts about School Nursing not juicy enough for their own topic start here!

My mantra lately: "Wash your HANDS, go back to CLASS and cover your COUGH!"

Just a guess that he won't progress beyond "pre-med" status.

The AP came in to my office at lunch to tell me I was laughing too loudly.

It's a good thing my office is not near AP. The SpEd teacher tells me she loves my very loud laugh. High school kids like to tease me for it. It's more of a cackle.

Girl with totally see through top sent down to me, gave me quite the 'TUDE when I told her to call her mom.

When she did, she told her mom on the phone: "Apparently they are all threatened by BOOBS here."

So, now she's siting here, zipped up in her winter jacket, until her mom can bring her a shirt. :sarcastic:

Thank God girls didn't wear that stuff when I was in HS, I may have had a record. Bad enough with the middle schoolers here. They can have no underwear showing and spring brings out spaghetti straps. We have a good supply of $2, hideously colored t-shirts for the offenders. Thought about finding old boy band shirts to discourage the attempts.

I have never had to deal with dress code issues at my school, other than reporting it to administration, who then deals with it.

I wonder sometimes, as the mother of 3 teenagers, how some parents let kids leave the house dressed in overly revealing/inappropriate clothing. Then I see the parents, and in some cases, that explains a WHOLE lot.

I used to wear my tight, rocker, heavy metal clothes under my baggy sweats. Mom never knew.

*waves to my stalking mom*

Ah! See I was not a tight clothes wearing rocker-chic like you, Farawyn. However I do remember sneaking powder blue eye shadow to school when I was in 7th grade because I thought my mom wouldn't let me wear make up. I'm sure I looked FABULOUS after applying said powder blue eye schadow.

I got sent home once for a barely see through shirt once in HS, was supposed to go home change and come back... like I would really go back to school after they told me to go home?

I guess my teens are just SOL at sneaking inappropriate clothes as I see them several times a day :cheeky:

I'm off today.
