Random Thoughts about School Nursing not juicy enough for their own topic start here!
My mantra lately: "Wash your HANDS, go back to CLASS and cover your COUGH!"
There is a blog by a guy named Tim Elmore. He writes about different categories. Generally, about dealing with todays families/kids, etc. His writing is amazing. For those interested, you can sign up to receive the new posts by email. I have used his posts many times, to share with parents, teachers, admins., and my school counselors. I highly encourage you to check it out. Here is the link to one of his latest Parenting - Tim Elmore
Thanks, like it a lot.
My new secretary is a wee bit too cynical about the kids. She hasn't earned it. She hasn't been here long enough. I'm getting defensive.I may punch her lights out.
The two secretaries that I can see/hear from my office spend a good 60% of the day complaining about having to do things that ARE THEIR JOB!!! Ug. It makes me nuts all day. And one of them is all about the loud, heavy sigh to let you know that any request (while a part of her daily duties) is a huge inconvenience and keeping her from doing other things.

The bad part is my old secretary was gold. Just the right amount of love and COB. Not a mom, and this one has 4 kids.
Don't. Criticize. The. 7th. Graders.
Do. NOT!!!
I'm telling you. I'm going to say something.

Great link, Cattz. Thank you.
Then my OI kid busts open his surgical incision today and as I'm trying to control the bleeding a 3rd grade teacher is sending down students who "feel like they have ants in their hair." They've just returned from PE.
It's going down for real.
