I have this terrible habit which I can't quit. It's terrible but yet I waste time on it. I split my split ends. Help!!! What are your bad and yet so entertaining habits?

I hate text talk as well! I AM the grammar police................biggest pet peeve: your and you're are not the same. Neither are their, there, and they're.

I try to form words out of license plate letters....even though I darn well know that the plates were not personalized.

I am a clean freak. I cannot sleep if there are dishes in the sink, floors are dirty...

I cannot clean just one area of the house. The WHOLE house gets cleaned. x4

*sigh*

I am such a procrastinator in my personal life.

Will have to tell more about that later. :lol2:

These are great! Now I don't feel like a lonely weirdo anymore; we're all weirdos together! ;)

Let's see....

1. I cannot go anywhere without something to read. When I say anywhere, I mean literally anywhere. I can't go from one room to another for any reason without a book or magazine. I could be going to the kitchen to make dinner, heading to the bathroom to clean it, whatever - there has to be something to read at hand or I go insane (well, more insane).

2. If I see an error in something I write, I have to fix it. If I don't, it drives me wild. I can't forget those types of mistakes. A couple of years ago, I tried to make myself let go of such things and the images of the exact errors floated around in my memory for days until I finally had to go back and repair the damage. It's really annoying to be that compulsive.

3. I cannot bear to be hot. Part of the issue is a side effect of my physical condition; I seem to have developed an MS-like heat intolerance that leaves me weak and prone to flareups in hot weather. When I was a child, I disliked being hot; now, however, I have to run a fan to keep my feet cool and I must keep the heat in my house at 61*F-62*F during the winter (my son is like me in temperature preference and my husband wears heavy clothes at all times from about November to April) in order to stay comfortable. Weird!

Here's a weird one I bet nobody else has. . .when I fold T-shirts I must smooth the hem area, if that little 3/4 inch hem is flipped up it will drive me insane until I flip it back. I must fold shirts in perfect thirds and then over. If the collar isn't centered I re-do it.

Even as a little girl I remember being horrified by my mother folding shirts in quarters!! Oh my God, nooooooooo!!!!!!

I don't dry myself off with a towel before I get out of the shower.

I just drip dry my way out of the bathroom, leaving small puddles.

Are you my daughter?!!?!! Drives me insane when she does this. We have hard wood floors and puddles of water sitting on them really isn't good...

Wow..and here I thought I was the only one :D

I don't shave my legs every day, but about every 2nd or 3rd day...all my friends are like, "You shave your legs in the winter? and you are single? Why bother!" but the FEELING drives me crazy!

I shave every single day. If I take a shower I will shave my legs. People think I'm crazy, but I really don't feel clean unless I do. The only exception is if for some reason I don't take a shower that day....or I'm camping...

I chew on the inside of my cheek. My dentist has informed me such a habit can lead to mouth CA, but it hasn't deterred me one bit. Someday I fear I will chew right through to my face.

I'm also a nail biter but only in private because I can't stand seeing people

with their fingers in their mouth in public.

I also feel the compulsive need to straighten any pictures/photo frames hanging from a wall. They must be straight. My fiancé calls me the human spirit level because he's tested my accuracy with a spirit level and I'm very accurate!

no way scoochy would make it through an Iowa winter! -40 would cure you of the open window part if not the fan!!

when changing the tv volume, i don't like it to be on a prime number. odd numbers are okay. just not primes. same way for the temperature selection in my car.

i like it when things add up to nine.

and i'm addicted to books. i read them, but i have to have at least a dozen on my bedside table and panic when i run short. my husband likes to remind me of the new year's day i went to barnes and noble to buy books because i only had three left and was afraid i'd run short during the holiday weekend.

do you have a half price books near you?

half price books, records, magazines, inc.

i love this place! my family knows i welcome gift cards from hpb for any occasion. one of my favorite things to do is go to the clearance section where the prices are $1-$3. i've scored some wonderful items that were big bucks to begin with.

sharpeimom] i have books i'm in the middle of reading stashed all over the place: in my purse, in the car, by my recliner, on my nightstand, by each tub or john, in the kitchen under a pillow on the windowseat, in the [/size]

living room, outside by the hot tub, on the front porch ... i'm hopeless, i think.

yeah, that's me, too. i have my bedroom book, my upstairs bathroom book, my downstairs bathroom book, my car book, my workbag book, etc. people ask my how i can read so many at one time without scrambling my brain. i tell them it was scrambled a long time ago, so there's nothing more to worry about there.
