The News earlier tonight shared that Hope Hicks became ill Wednesday night, and tested today and COVID-19 positive --per President Trump's confirmed tweet tonight. A few hours later, he confirmed the First Lady and he tested positive and are now in quarantine.

If you have read it in a couple of places, please provide at least one spot or is this further Trump confabulation?

Wearing a mask greatly reduces your chances, it doesnt 100% prevent your chances.
I think your missing the point. This man Never wore one. Don’t try to downplay the protective capabilities of wearing a mask. Although it’s not 100% fool proof the chances of contracting the virus with everyone doing their part is almost zilch. It’s the lack thereof that is the problem. The fact someone would be so prideful and take this lightly in the face of what we’ve all seen shows how ignorant and foolish people are...both those that won’t wear one and those who downplay some of the only forms of protection we have to bring this virus under control and stomp it out.

From NIH:
Recommendations for Patients with COVID-19
On the basis of the preliminary report from the RECOVERY trial, the COVID-19 Treatment Guidelines Panel (the Panel) recommends using dexamethasone 6 mg per day for up to 10 days or until hospital discharge, whichever comes first, for the treatment of COVID-19 in hospitalized patients who are mechanically ventilated (AI) and in hospitalized patients who require supplemental oxygen but who are not mechanically ventilated (BI).
The Panel recommends against using dexamethasone for the treatment of COVID-19 in patients who do not require supplemental oxygen (AI).Is Trump well enough to go home or sick enough to get steroids?
What is the truth?
I’ve been wondering about the timeline. Is it accurate that he first became symptomatic late Thursday evening? If I’ve understod that correctly his disease seems to have progressed rather rapidly considering he’s already been on supplemental oxygen, been treated with experimental MABs, Remdesivir and now dexamethasone. All this in two and a half days? It just seems these interventions normally tend to occur when a patient is further along in the disease process than just a couple of days.
As far as I know, dexamethasone hasn’t been shown to be beneficial for mild and moderate cases (not requiring oxygen).
Could he have been symptomatic and/or diagnosed at an earlier point in time? How about when he went to the fundraiser in New Jersey on Thursday evening? Has his physician released the information regarding when he was first diagnosed? I haven’t seen it, but perhaps I’ve just missed it? It just seems that the information released so far has been somewhat conflicting and confusing. It would really be helpful if the White House, including the physician, could be more transparent.

I disagree with allowing visitors back into the hospital and us not testing all patients upon admission. If all major sports leagues can test their players daily, we can test in the hospital. I don’t feel I was properly protected. Several of us came up positive at once.
I’m sorry that you got infected and that your hospital doesn’t sound as if they have very stringent protocols in place. I hope that you’ve now made a full recovery!
Take care ??

I think that we should have no expectations that this administration or any GOP leadership will be transparent about this matter.
It is surprising that the IMPOTUS' personal physician is so vague and misleading about the contract tracing surrounding this infection. Why is he so quickly dismissive of the precise time-line associated with the patient's cascade and progression of symptoms?
Last Trump video from today "...Learned a lot about COVID ...I learned alot about it by going thru it--real school,--- will tell you later..."
Then proceeded in SUV motorcade outside Walter Reed hospital--wearing a mask with 2 Secret Service agents in front seat to wave at adoring crowds outside that were parading by all day with their Trump flags waving and honking horns for hours.
Don't they have signs Quiet Hospital area??
Would love to see THAT nursing note re leaving Presidential Suite --- did he sign an AMA form as leaving hospital against advice I'm sure.
At least facial color looks better in this video --not flushed.
Buzzfeed report:
Trump, Infected With COVID-19, Rode In An SUV With Two People So That He Could Greet His Fans
Day 3 post covid DX + hospitalization. Still needs more COVID Education how virus transmitted !!

Just the same as his income tax information and all other specifics related to anything quantifiable and measureable in his life.
Staff keeping Trump occupied by having him sign blank pieces of paper:
It's a little concerning how similar this is to how we keep demented / delirious patients occupied.

YES..
Twitter feeds I follow greatly upset regarding this ill advised stunt. Few offering legal advice for Secret Service members --after all its unnecessary occupational exposure; includes commentary from this doc who works there.
Dexamethasone steroid mania gives one false sense of security and well being-- can be followed by sharp decline functioning once stopped. especially if high dose.

No, I'm not looking for that exact wording, and yes a source describing that sentiment would suffice. However, stating that he "didn't hide from the virus" and "wanted to walk the battlefield" isn't the same as saying he intentionally went out hoping to be infected.
