Dr. Ben Carson, campaign adviser David Bossie latest in Trump orbit to test positive for COVID-19

Carson and 400 others attended an event inside the White House election night.

Ben Carson is a former neurosurgeon @  John Hopkins ---I've seen him several times at WH events without mask. David Bossie is lawyer leading election lawsuits team.

It is truly remarkable that the white house inner circle has a higher infection rate than my ER, where we have no choice in our proximity to others, regularly deal with sick people, and do no surveillance.

A friend of mine told me their Thanksgiving would be small, immediate family only. I agreed, saying the surge in COVID made that necessary. She said, "There is no surge."

I said, "What do you mean? The numbers are going up. The positivity rate is sky-high. The hospital CEOs are talking about their hospitals filling up."

She looked at me in pity. "Kitiger, that's not true. It's all fake news. We don't even watch the news anymore. It's all fake."

She knows what she knows. Her mind is filled up with the idea that any news is fake if it doesn't match with what she already knows.

It seems that the White House inner circle has this same mindset.

We get regular updates on our bed availability in our COVID ICU and med surg units and we’ve seen the availability of beds decrease- often when the emails come out the ICU is full lately. But I guess that’s all fake too.

I told her that this is what I'm hearing from other nurses, too. She said she was hearing something different. I'm at a loss as to how to respond to someone who won't even look at the evidence.

I guess the only answer is to disengage. Agree to disagree.

I can't agree to disagree about matters that are serious and have life and death implications.  In a national public health emergency it is not merely a difference of opinion to believe and spread nonsense that impacts lives.

Disengagement is the better answer.

Sure hope the White house has purchased Ultraviolet light machines to disinfect the Presidents, VP and private quarters prior to the Bidens + Harris moving in...

He was most recently at the Georgia Capitol in Atlanta on Thursday to attend a Georgia state Senate hearing on the November election. During a break in the hearing, Giuliani removed the mask he was wearing to greet and take pictures with supporters.

He traveled to Michigan on Wednesday for a state House committee hearing that lasted four and a half hours, during which he was maskless as he pushed misleading claims that the election was stolen from Trump.

COVID tracking will be extensive due to recent travels.

Most notably, Rudy has discontinued the practice of putting temporary dye onto his sideburns.  That's an improvement in judgement. He does seem to have significant flatulence, is that a symptom of covid?

And there still isn't clear whether flatulence can spread Covid.  Lucky for Jenna Ellis that he was wearing pants.
