1. How many questions did you take on NCLEX?
75
2. What study materials did you use? Did you take a test review course?
My school required us to take Kaplan in our last semester. I believe the Kaplan course was an excellent resource. I also used Saunders.
3. Did your SON offer any testing (ERI, ATI, HESI)?
No, just Kaplan.
4. How long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting?
approximately 72hrs.
5. What were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)?
It took me all of 40min to answer 75 questions. I walked out of there somewhat in disbelief. I remember thinking "this is what I studied so hard for?" It seemed kind of hard to believe that it all boiled down to 75 questions. I felt fairly confident walking out. I knew that if it shuts off at 75 you either did really good or really bad, but the fact that I answered the majority of my questions with confidence made me feel better. The worst part was waiting for my results, and beginning to question if I had passed.
6. Was this your first attempt at NCLEX?
First and only :)

4. how long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting? i checked with the board of nursings website the next day. i waited, and waited, and kept checking every couple hours (okay..minutes), and finally it was up around 3:30 pm. took the test at 8 am the day before.
5. what were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)? i felt like a huge failer, just like everyone else. my family stayed away from me between the time of my test and my results. i was grouchy. i still don't believe i passed! my last 15 questions seemed toooo easy. and my last one was basic knowledge. no application. so yeah...you never know.
