Top of pay scale Cleveland Clinic
I also participated in the nurse associate program that paid $13 per hour. After passing my NCLEX I started in September 08 at $24.00 with shift diff of $1. I have an ADN, it is my knowledge that it doesn't matter at the start which you have the rateis the same but they use a "clinaical ladder" so later on the BSN will effect your pay rate more.

ATI live Review course
HI, I just stopped in to see how everyone is doing. Do let me say that I think ATI is the biggest wate of money going. Our school used these tests. There was a predictor test at the end of our last semseter of school. School policy stated that if you failed the test 3 times you then failed out of school and did not get your degree. Several students did very poorly and some passed with eact test attempt. I think the test did alot to undermine the self confidence of students. Many who passed this -failed the NCLEX and many more who did poorly on these tests passed NCLEX with 75 questions. After having passed NCLEX at 75 questons ATI does not help. The qestions are worded NOTHING like ATI. May I suggest that you follow Suzanne's Plan for FREE - LOTS if students pass the first time using it. I did!!! Thanks again Suzanne:mad: It is a postit on the top of the first page listed as Suzanne's plan.

NCLEX Frustration...75 Questions!
Just to let you know that I took mine Sept 3 - your post is EXACTLY my story. I even bet my daughter $10 I failed. I had to pay her off when it posted I passed. Please wait until you see the results before doing what I did. I knew I failed when I had so may SATA questions and had no idea what the drugs were, (they gave brand name and NOTHING we studied for). I knew when that machine kicked off at 75 I failed. I think everyone feels that way. Suzanne said about 85% pass first time- it does seem to hold very true. I am sending good athoughts your way

NCLEX-RN PREP WITH SAUNDERS CD...Enough????
I passed with 75 questions using Suzanne's plan. That is the Saunders Comp Review 4th ed. BOOK and CD. I REPEAT -----------"USE SUZANNE'S PLAN TO THE LETTER" -------she has given away better NCLEX prep FREE than all those charging for a review class. I was a nervous wreck when I emailed her asking questions. I listened to her and now I am a RN.

How long between graduation and taking NCLEX?
Graduated may 10 and sat for boards on Sept 3-shut down at 75Q. Our instructors told us to sit ASAP for a better chance of passing , but due to fingerprint isses I could not sit any sooner. I did start u sing Suzannes plan mid July and finished up the rest of her plan by the end of Aug. So I would highly reccommend her plan for passing. So I am not sure if what the instructors said is correct or not because I had months between. Good Luck!

Who has passed using Suzanne's plan
I used her plan with the 4th edition Saunders review. It shut down at 75 questions. Last week (so I have been an RN for 1 entire week) it really works. :yeah:

I can now use RN!!!
Thanks to everyone for everything. I started orientation today so I was cutting it very close. I had pushed it back to complete Suzanne's plan. Glad I did!! The one nursing instructor we had told us to sign all our papers with our name and R.N. after - I felt very funny doing it thoughbecuase it seemed wrong. Her thought was that if we seen it we could accomplish it. But today I signed the papers prouldy.

stressing over Nclex
Try to hold on to good thoughts - Suzanne is right most do pass. I know it is really hard to do. I truly know how you feel I sobbed all the way home - I was so scared to even look. I do believe the person here who said the test is meant to make you think you failed. here's luck for you :wshgrt:

need some advice/support scared!!!!!!!!!
Random fact thread! I would do Saunders RN Review with only 2 weeks, I would take the test at the end of the Chapter then if you score over 75% like Suzanne says --move on -- review only the weak areas less than 75%. Do the prioratizion book that is reccommended here. That is a big help. Good Luck Hope this helps a little.

I can now use RN!!!
Just wanted to let everyone know that I PASSED!!!! 75 questions and the screen went blue.... All I kept thinking was "Oh my gosh I failed at 75". I sat there in the chair not even able to breath, just looking at the blue screen. I have no clue what I checked as the exit interview but I got up went out and cried all the way home. I tried to take heart at what everyone on the board said about passing but my heart just knew I failed. I went over in my head what I could remember and knowing each choice was wrong. I knew for sure just after I clicked the button on question 75 t it was wrong I should have picked "A" but no I picked "D". I read all of Suzanne post's at least a hundred times trying to have hope in the words. I had followed her plan to the letter "why did it not work for me?" I checked the BON and there I was "OH MY GOSH" I rechecked 5 times beofre I would believe it was not a mistake. I kept thinking "they will figure out this was wrong" but no I am there with a number and all. I HAD PASSED:yeah: Thank you to Suzanne -you have the best review plan going. Thaks you to everyone who had the tidbit review I added 10 or so to my bathroom mirror daily to read. To everyone who is studying or about to take the test my advice is do Suzanne's plan -DRUGS (categories) because they are really off the wall no easy ones here. Have faith ,Suzanne is right -over 85% pass first time. And for those who have to take it more - well I think itis the luck of the draw, many of us could retake and come no where near passing it is just getting the right set of questions(and still you can't read how you are doing). This is just my . I am now going to get the first real nights sleep since Weds and try to figure out what to do with my hands now that for the first time in years I have not had a book in them studying.:chuckle

Saunders... Exam mode or study mode?
I did the study mode. I read all the rationales for each question. I found that sometimes even when I had the right answer - I was somewhat off the exact rationale the book gave. Also, I would only do only about 150 or so every day . I found not all at one time was also a big help. I did 2 sets of 75 one day then maybe the next a set of 100 and a set of seventy five, just to get the feel of going further than the "minimum". Good Luck.... :wink2:
