What a week! So much illness. Flu, stomach virus, strep, etc.

I did report to our Principal my concerns about how many are out sick.

Do you do anything in particular with regard to extra cleaning from custodial staff when this happens? The truth is, our custodians aren't exactly proactive about sanitizing if you know what I mean. It's all I can do to have them pick up barf bags.

i had i think it was 14 % out of one school during the height of flu season. The close point is 15%. I called the health dept just as a head's up and to see if they wanted us to do anything beyond a deep clean of the classes. They came into my office with guns a blazing because i gave them something "fun" to do :sour: which resulted in me having to do 5 days of mind numbing paperwork and absence surveillance. I told my contact that next time i'd wait until it actually hit 15%

Far, we have the same week off! Lets meet in the city for cocktails! Woooo!

*jawdrop*

LETS!!!

:cautious: I wanna play too!!

I read your title as over 100% out sick. And thought to myself, that's a nice day.

Then realized that made no sense.

I hope your kiddos feel better soon!

Okay, come to NY. We will save you a spot at the bar.

I wanna play too!!

Heck, I'm from NJ with all my family still there. Someday...

Whoa... I have 12% out today.

We do have the last legs of a very late and light flu season. Sinus crud. Mono. And the stomach thing.

We are 15%, possibly Fifth's in a majority of those.

The percentage out hasn't been bad here, but a bit more than usual. I think it's called "state testing syndrome"

We are 100% out today because it is the last day of spring break :( So NOT looking forward to Monday!

10-15% out and my admin would be having a stroke! She is unhappy with anything over 3%.. Though we did have some pretty close to that right before our spring break last month when the flu and a stomach virus ripped through us.

I have to ask very nicely, or else I get 'tude from the head guy. He likes his bread buttered in a certain way. I haven't figured out how yet, and we clash sometimes.

Is "buttering his bread" a euphemism for something else? Is that how to get him to do his job better?! The scandal!!
