This will be my uniform for the rest of the week...
Thank you! I felt bad because she started with sore throat/fever on thursday night, so my hubby took her into base walk-in strep clinic (it was negative), so I assumed a virus because her cough was not bad at all. By Sunday she was way worse, so we took her in and she was dx then.
Oh, how I wish our base had a walk-in strep clinic. That would have made life so much easier when my kids were little.
When I was a kid,I always got stomach sick when I had strep.Wonder if they had any strep as well?
My sister just had strep run rampant in her house (3 out of 4 kids) and they all started with a belly ache. One also tested positive for influenza. The peds office said they'd never had a kid test positive for both

We see it occasionally at Urgent Care. Let me tell ya...those kids are sick, sick, miserably sick.
what's your health department uh oh point? Mine here is 15% absence for the same reason.
Mine is also 15%, which I use myself to measure a possible school outbreak. We came close to it a couple of years ago with one of those 24-48 stomach bugs (not noro, thankfully), but were able to contain it to one grade thanks to some cleaning advice from my public health department.
