June 2008 NCLEX support group

Published

This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.

To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or Drexel or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.

Thanks!

thanks so much! keep your head up and if you start to panic stop and close your eyes and say "pass, pass, pass, pass, pass" to yourself!!! visualizing that you pass will make it all the better for you to stay positive-i will say a prayer for you on friday Jen!! :) :saint:

Thank you! I need all the prayers I can get!!!

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone that has already passed!!!

I'm scheduled for the NCLEX-PN on Thursday June 19th. Needless to say, I'm very excited and my brain is on overload. I've done ATI, Sanders, Lippincot, Incredibly Easy questions over the course of schooling and maintained a solid GPA. This is really what counts and I'm going to keep up the review until Tuesday, relax on Wed and trust that I haven't come this far to fall apart. Say a pray, chant or meditate that I will have for normal IC, stable VS and O2 of at least 95%. And my prayers and chants are with all students taking their NCLEX. :nurse:

sewon16,

I know you did fine, you can't worry about what everyone else got because no two tests are alike. Although I hoped for the kind of test you are speaking of I got what I got and you can't spend your weekend thinking you did bad. You know your stuff and you were able to test in a way that shows it, so be confident in yourself. I am sorry if anything I posted increased your anxiety, but it sounds like you will be able to put this all behind you by tomorrow. Check your BON or pearsonvue in the a.m. Good Luck

Travel soon, thank you for the encouragement. That helped a lot. My results were on Pearsonvue this morning.

I PASSED!!!! :yeah: :yeah: :yeah: :D :saint:

Praise God. Only through His grace did I make it. You were right, no two people have the same experience. I was sweating because I felt like the test was not that bad. My instructors had said if you come out feeling like, "That was the hardest test I ever took," it is a good sign. They also said that if you felt like, "That wasn't so bad," that that was a bad sign. I was nervous because the test did not seem so bad to me. Anyhow, our instructors must have prepared us well in school. We were ready.

To answer waitingforresults, it sounds like your scores on the practice tests are GREAT! I consistently got 67%, 68%, 69% on Kaplan, Mosby, Saunders, every practice test I took. I never got as high as 70. I also did thousands of questions to practice. I think that helps. Best of luck to you. You can do it!

Thanks again travel soon. YAY!! I made it! Good luck to everyone testing soon! Here's a wish for peace and calm to all awaiting results.

Tested Friday at 2 - just got quick results.

I Passed!!!! I had a good feeling about it but still SOOOO great to know for sure!

I'm so excited for all of you who are passing the NCLEX, hope those of us yet to take it pass too.

To those having to restest, we are still cheering for you!!

My family thinks I'm going to go in and ACE the NCLEX because I ACED the HESI. I hope they are right! HESI claims to be what, 99.49% accurate in determining the outcome of your NCLEX?

I wish I was as certain as my family is. It'd save me a awful lot of grief! :)

I PASSED!!!!

Praise be to GOD!!!!!!

Congrats!!!:yeah:

Congratulations to everyone finding out that they passed today!!!!! It's officially my week to test and I have LOTS to do between now and next Saturday! I am trying to keep focused and motivated to put forth 110% of my time and effort into studying this week! I don't have to work or anything, so there are NO excuses as to why I can't study! Keeping positive and motivated is the hardest part of this whole process! Good luck to all test takers this week- you'll be in my thoughts and prayers! WE CAN AND WILL PASS THIS TEST! Can't wait to hear all the great passing news for people who test this week! God Bless!

P.S. My motivational song for this week is "don't stop believing" by JOURNEY! So, if your feeling down about the test- listen to that song and it will get you back on track and pumped up about passing the NCLEX!

I sure wish I could type the word passed and it be for real but I just have a bad feeling. On to your test now loboscon08: There were 7 of us that took NCLEX and finished within minutes of each other today and all had 75 questions. No body had under 15 SATAs, all had tons of infection control ie. droplet,airborne,6 had lots of endocrine[not me],and the dosage questions, I had the most and 1 other had 3 but the other 5 didn't have any of those but had a lot of med questions. I forgot about the priority questions but we all had alot of those too. Good Luck to you

I am so terrified for the SATA questions and can't believe that you all got so many of them! :banghead:

Thanks again for the advice and also for the good luck wishes! Let us know tomorrow as soon as you find out your results! My fingers are crossed for you!
