  1. Hi jackattack21! I don't have any degree in expressive therapies or counseling but am also interested. I thought I would respond and see if you have found any programs. I have a B.A. in studio art and am currently working as an RN. I am looking for a grad program in expressive therapy but can not find anything with distance options. Let me know what information you find for your theater arts program. Good luck. I will share anything I find also.
  2. bsngrad2be, thanks so much for sharing your experiences. I am in the same position and have been trying to develop my own "cheat sheet" to organize each patient. I would love to see what you have made for yourself if you are willing to share. I have not posted many comments here, though, and am unsure about how to receive email. Would you be able to send something like that in an email? A Simp, I would also love to see your sheet that you developed. I need a lot of help getting/staying organized and I am open to new suggestions. Four patients also threw me for a loop. I need to be comfortable with five before I am done orientation. I have some more speeding up and organizing to do in the next few weeks. It is helpful to read what everyone has written. Part of my problem is seeing myself as a competent nurse, someone who is "in charge" and "in control." It is a new hat for me to wear and it is taking some getting used to. :typing
  3. Travel soon, thank you for the encouragement. That helped a lot. My results were on Pearsonvue this morning. I PASSED!!!! Praise God. Only through His grace did I make it. You were right, no two people have the same experience. I was sweating because I felt like the test was not that bad. My instructors had said if you come out feeling like, "That was the hardest test I ever took," it is a good sign. They also said that if you felt like, "That wasn't so bad," that that was a bad sign. I was nervous because the test did not seem so bad to me. Anyhow, our instructors must have prepared us well in school. We were ready. To answer waitingforresults, it sounds like your scores on the practice tests are GREAT! I consistently got 67%, 68%, 69% on Kaplan, Mosby, Saunders, every practice test I took. I never got as high as 70. I also did thousands of questions to practice. I think that helps. Best of luck to you. You can do it! Thanks again travel soon. YAY!! I made it! Good luck to everyone testing soon! Here's a wish for peace and calm to all awaiting results.
  4. Thanks for the comforting words. I am sitting here sweating it out, realizing how many questions out of 75 that I answered wrong. The end of my test seemed too easy. I am really worried and not sure when the results will be posted. My classmates have all said their NCLEX was the hardest test they ever took. I thought tests in school were harder. That is making me very nervous. Maybe I never got to the really hard part. Trying to make it through the weekend until results are posted... :imbar
  5. CONGRATULATIONS Baking Nurse!!! Way to go!!! I am hoping to follow in your shoes. I took my test this morning and the computer shut off at 75. I am freaking out today! I guess we all doubt ourselves until we know for sure. I feel it could go either way????? I am happy for you! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
  6. Thanks, Amber07. I hope my state posts results on the weekend. Waiting four days would be torture!
  7. I take my NCLEX tomorrow morning and am feeling anxious today. I am not sure how long I will have to wait for results for a Friday test. It seems like some people get them on Monday and some on Tuesday. I am hoping my state website posts on Monday for a Friday test. Wish me luck!
  8. Hi everyone! I am testing this Friday and just graduated in May. Has anyone been taking the practice exams on the CDs from the review books (Kaplan, Saunders, Mosby)? I keep taking them and always score in the 60's, 64, 69... Does anyone know how that score range correlates with a likelihood of passing NCLEX? Thanks for any help. :imbar
