Hello my fellow school nurses!
Friday is the last day of school for us, and I'm so excited. It is kind of weird in a way since I started working here in March, and now I'm almost on vacation :)
I'm hoping to educate myself on some topics I've seen come up in the last months during the summer so I can be a bit better prepared next year, (I have a fear of having an emergency happen and not knowing what to do since I am still a very new nurse!), traveling a little (no kiddos yet!), and working PRN at another facility to keep up my clinical skills.
What are your plans?:)
After dealing with the stress of making sure my son graduates high school (ended up with a 60.3 in one class), being sick alllllll year, nursing my mother in law who just had hip surgery(my inlaws live with us), worrying about my own parent's health, and worrying about my husband potentially being laid off.....
Hopefully nothing:zombie:!
Of course, I have a long to-do list for the summer around the house, etc.

Hoping all those negatives are behind you and a stress free summer lies ahead.

Yay he made it, kids will make you nuts, huh?
I work, but not in nursing. I have two PAID technical theater gigs this summer for two different children's theater camps. I do a lot of volunteer theater work that getting paid for it is awesome and extra funds are appreciated :).(And I try not to put my school nursing hat on at camp...but it comes out now and then.)
I'm also going to Whistler in Canada for five days.
26 school days to summer for me!
We just enrolled my 11-year-old daughter in a summer theater camp! She is so excited! I hope you have fun, too!
